...Employee's rewards ukessays.com /dissertations/management/employees-rewards.php CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION 1.0 Overview In any organization, employee's rewards usually given to attract, motivate and retain the employees to stay longer and contribute a good quality services to ensure the successful of the organization; in other words, rewards play an important role in creating, building and maintaining the commitment among employees with the purpose to ensure high standard of performances and workforce stability. According to the individual - organizational exchange theme, individuals enter the organization with special qualification and skill, desire and goals, and expect in return a work setting where they can use their skill, satisfy their desire, and achieve their goals (Mottaz, 1988). At the minimum, employees expect their organization to provide fair pay, safe working condition, and fair treatment. (Beer, Spector, Lawrence, Mills, & Walton, 1984). A high level of OC is shown to produce a positive effect on job performance, absenteeism, and turnover. The problem addressed in this study is the decline in organizational commitment among American workers and what, if anything, management can do to address this issue. ...federal government. It will be important you understand the political environment, and history surrounding the implementation of the new carbon tax. Your introduction should provide background information to the new tax and should be somewhat brief. You must then undertake a review of the literature related to global warming, climate change and other factors that have lead to the introduction of the new tax. You then are required to identify which market segments your campaign will target. Next you must identify at least 3-5 communication objectives such as developing brand awareness; or promoting product and company knowledge; influencing interest or consumer attitudes; developing the product’s image; or influencing the purchase intention etc. (Chapter 4& 7 of Belch, Belch, Kerr & Powell). Once you have identified your communication objectives you must discuss at least 3-5 creative strategies related specifically to the communication objectives targeting particular market segments for a particular purpose and requiring a specific consumer response (Waller 2004, pp36-37 and Belch, Belch, Kerr & Powell chapters 9-10). 3-5 creative strategies are: * Generic * Pre-Emptive * Unique Selling Proposition...

...CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION 1.1 Introduction and objectives The consumer brand relationship depends on largely on the successful establishment of the brand meaning. In highly competitive markets brand loyalty generates numerous benefits like erecting barriers to competitors, generating greater sales and revenues, reducing customer acquisition costs, and inhibiting customers' susceptibility to marketing efforts of competitors (Knox and Walker, 2001; Rundle-Thiele and Mackay, 2001). The primary objective of this research is to select three brand loyalty influences (from the twelve) in the article by Moola and Bisschoff (2014) then motivate why the three can be grouped together logically. The secondary objectives are to: * Expand on Moolla's questions by doing a literature study on three brand loyalty influences selected. * Select a company / product of choice to apply questionnaire to * Analyse the data at least on inferential statistical level * Indicate expected outcomes the results will provide * Interpret the results and write a short report on what the data tells you * Apply result to management and managerial decision-making to show the advantage of the analysis. Figure 1.1: The conceptual model Adapted from Moolla (2010:197) 1.2 Hypotheses The following hypotheses were tested in order to assist in meeting the research objectives: H1: There is a relationship between customer satisfaction and customer trust when purchasing a home appliance...

...CHAPTER ONE 1.0 BACKGROUND TO THE STUDY Attitude as a concept is concerned with an individual way of thinking, acting and behaving. It has very serious implications for the learner, the teacher, the immediate social group with which the individual learner relates and the entire school system. Attitudes are formed as a result of some kind of learning experiences. They may also be learned simply by following the example of opinion of parent, teacher or friend., this is mimicry or imitation, which also has a part to play in the teaching and learning situation. In this respect, the learner draws from his teacher’s education to inform his own attitude which may likely affect his earning outcomes. In his observational theory, Bandura (1971) demonstrated that behavior are acquire by watching another (the model, teacher parent, monitor, friend) that performs the behavior. The model display it and the learner observes and tries to imitate it. Teachers are invariably, role models whose behaviours are easily copied by students. What teachers like or dislike, appreciate and how they feel about their learning or studies could have a significant effect on their students. Unfortunately, however, many teacher seldom realize that how they teach how they behave and how they interact with students can be more paramount than what they interact with students can be attitudes directly what they teach. In a nut shell, teachers’ attitudes directly affect students’ attitudes. Teachers attitude...
