Chick Fil a

...MMGP – Services/Pricing Abstract This paper will provide a look into the Services and Pricing of Chick-Fil-A. This research discusses what price adaptations should Chick-fil-A include in its marketing plan. Price Adaptations Price adaptation is the ability of a business to change its pricing models to suit different geographic areas, consumer demands and prevailing incomes (Lister & Media, 2013). The more adaptability Chick-fil-A has, the better chance it has of appealing to more customers. Geographic pricing is a strategy Chick-fil-A already has in its marketing plan. The company prices its products differently within different regions. The prices are higher in areas when income is high, and is reduced when income is lower. Locations are usually in shopping malls and neighborhoods with a high volume of its target customers (Ahmad & Buttle, 2002). Chick-fil-A remains priced higher than most fast food chains, with prices comparable to Wendy's (Higgins, 2001). Product discounts is an area Chick-fil-A should utilize more often in its marketing plan. Product discounts are used to attract bargain hunting customers. Theses discounts would allow Chick-fil-A to stimulate new excitement about the company. This may also attract the interest of lower income customers; allowing those customers to try products they may not usually be able to afford. Chick-fil-A should also extend their existing discounts to all stores. 10% military and senior discount is only given...

Personal Worldview & Business Ethics Paper

...Personal Worldview & Business Ethics Paper Liberty University BMAL 560 January 25, 2015 STEP 1 To what extent should personal religious beliefs impact our decisions about business ethics? Personal religious beliefs should impact all decisions about business ethics. If your beliefs are truly mandated in your life, then you have no choice but to be fair and honest about your business decisions. Business decisions can sometimes be difficult and harsh, but that is no reason to comprise the integrity of what you believe in. In 2012, Summers & Summers concluded that from the “Christian worldview”, God is the source and creator of all things. This means that God has provided all the resources we need in order for those needs to be satisfied. Our task is to use these resources properly. (pp. 30). Psalms 24:1 tells us “The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters” (NIV). To what extent do your personal religious (or non-religious) beliefs about life impact your sense of business ethics and personal decision-making? The extent of my owm personal religious beliefs about life impacted my sense of business ethics and personal decicion-making. As a new Revenue Agent for the Internal Revenue Service, my on-the-job trainer told me to always assume the taxpayer was a liar. I was not able to do that. Servan Leadership Theory

...Servant-Leadership Theory from a Socially Constructed World View and a Biblical World View Mark J. Dixon Jr. Liberty University Abstract Servant-Leadership Theory has been a progressive theory in which much study has been done. Robert Greenleaf began using the term servant leadership to encourage leaders to first want to serve. There are two different world views discussed in this research paper that will shed light into what it takes to be a servant leader and how it can be successful if there is a full understanding of the theory present. There is the secular and the biblical world view in which differences in the two are identified. Servant-Leadership is meant to be more than just a way to see positive outcomes in a business, but it also transfers into effecting people’s lives. An attempt to enhance understanding and the question trying to be answered here is what separates the secular view of Servant-Leadership Theory from the Biblical worldview. This paper examines the characteristics and goals of servant-leadership though both worldviews to give a better understanding of servant-leadership theory. Keywords: servant-leadership, characteristics, biblical, secular Servant-Leadership Theory from a Socially Constructed World View and a Biblical World View There has been much attention given to leadership theories since the introduction of Servant-Leadership Theory by Robert Greenleaf in 1970. ...thinks the term “market” he or she usually think of advertisements. In this paper will define what marketing is. The importance of marketing in organizational successes will be addressed with examples of the business world to support the explanation. Marketing is defined as “a process of production and exchange that is concerned with the flow of goods and services from producer to consumer” (Marketing, 2013, na), Marketing is a wide spectrum that starts with people who develop the product to the simplest handling of the product. While in the past marketing of a product was solely done by word of mouth and channels to get merchandise was slow, marketing still existed usually in shops or merchandise stores. With the increase in use of the automobile and paved roads companies have had an easier time to get goods from one place to another. With the invention of the Internet, television, and radio, it has become easier to market items that consumers need and want. With this advance in economics and technology new stores popped up nearly driving the mom and pop stores out of business because the chain stores had the capital to invest in their marketing mix. “In 1999, more than $308 billion was spent on advertising in the United States alone” (Marketing, 2013, na). Marketing has taken on a whole new meaning for consumers and businesses alike. It includes “market research, motivational research, and other ways of determining...

It is kind of popular food in Korea especially, chicken business field. The uniqueness of product concept is simple. Comparing to Kentucky fried chicken, this chicken is fried by oil with soy source and other auxiliary ingredients. The other condition of business will be basically very similar to KFC. According to the study “ Market segmentation on the basis of food-related lifestyle of Croatian families,” the author, Tanja kestic, divides five category for food market segmentation such as buy motives, quality aspects of food, buy decision, cooking method, and consumption situations. Among these five different elements, I decided to focus on cooking method. There is clear reason why I selected this standard for this product. Most of all, I believe that taste is the most important decision factor for food. From the continual viewpoint, a cooking method determines most portion of taste of food. Especially, Chicken is the most popular food regardless of age, male or female, culture, region, etc. Actually, that is one of the reasons why I choose this criterion. Chicken has already too much similarity as favorite food through...

Tailgating Lifestyle

...legendary activity that I could not wait to participate in. Surprisingly enough, I was able to find my way onto the tailgating scene for the University of Georgia football game. They were facing University of Tennessee which was a big rivalry in the south. Both of these teams compete in the South Eastern conference, also known as the SEC. The rivalry brought a lot of excitement around campus which meant heavy tailgating. I was brought up to speed on the tailgating by a Georgia alumnus. Thomas was the perfect person to give me the ultimate tailgating experience. Having no previous knowledge on the topic of tailgating, it was surprising to me that tailgating is a detailed process that started days before the event itself. I started my research on the first step of tailgating labeled the “pre-game”. The pre-game step for us started on a Thursday afternoon. We made on who was participating, where we were tailgating at, and what vehicles were being taken. For us, we would bring two four door trucks that could seat eight people total. There were seven total people in this group including me....

Mcdonald's Brand Analysis

...budgets with its Dollar Menu, premium items, and extra value meals. McDonald’s does not differentiate itself in any one category of fast food, with competitors dominating in taste in other categories, but it does stand out for its variety and convenience. Due to the fact that McDonald’s does not provide the best fare in any given category, it has relied heavily on positive advertising and messaging that targets emotions.  McDonald’s messaging focuses on building the brand and highlighting the emotion of happiness. This can be seen in commercials and the long-time slogan of “I’m Lovin’ It,” for example.   In order to understand what the brand truly means to consumers, our group conducted a number of different types of research.  To begin, we conducted qualitative research including interviews and focus groups in order to understand consumers’ brand associations. Next, we created a survey to further understand McDonald’s competitors, strengths, and weaknesses. From this survey we identified a number of key findings. The first is that McDonald’s food is considered to be of very low health...
