...I believe that it is vitally important to develop and maintain a small group in my current ministry setting. As a youth pastor I feel that students need to have small group times to get to know their peers better and further their own relationship with Christ. Small groups would allow for students to open up to one another and express themselves. Students would be willing to open up and talk about current issues that they are facing. They could do this with other teens and the group leaders. I think that by having a small group it also allows the student to take what they are learning and then learn to apply it to their life. Having a group of individuals to talk with might help them in the application aspect of what they are learning. Putting together a successful small group ministry is tough but the ministry itself would be rewarding. One thing that I believe to be true is that, “the best ministry generally doesn’t occur during a group’s meetings so much as between the meetings.” –Carl George. Think about all the lives that could be reached by the disciples that are being created through a small group ministry. I could see the church growing drastically because of people going out and putting into action what they learned from a small group setting. Communicating with other believers is key to maintaining and nurturing your faith. If you look at Jesus he maintained a small group of 12 that were the disciples. Jesus taught them and strengthened their faith so that they...

...In January 2008, Department of Telecommunications issued 120 new licences for unified access services on the same day. These licences were issued at price which had been discovered in 2001. Issuance of 120 licences in just one day and at a price discovered in 2001 has drawn the attention of Media, Parliament and informed members of the civil society. Questions have been raised regarding the transparency in the allocation process and the failure in maximization of revenue generation from the allocation of spectrum, which is a national asset. This department had been receiving innumerable references from Members of Parliament and other sources repeatedly, questioning the allocation process and the price fixed for such allocation. The claim in each such reference is that ineligible applicants seem to have been granted licences and at a price which appeared far below what has been perceived to be the appropriate market price in 2008. It was in this context that this department felt that there was a sufficient justification to review the entire process of issuance of licences, award of spectrum and the implementation of the UAS regime. The need for doing so was further justified as six years have passed since the introduction of the UAS regime in 2003. While accepting the Government's prerogative to formulate the policy of UASL, it was felt that an in-depth examination of implementation of such policy needed to be done. (i) Gaps in policy implementation In August 2003 TRAI had submitted...

...gifts? Do you agree with the results? Why or why not? According to the assessment my two dominant spiritual gifts were Administration (23) followed by exhortation (18). I have to say based on the explanations that I agree. I know that God has called me to pastor a ministry one-day and I Currently serve in my local church as a lay minister. I agree with the assessment, as I am usually the first one to organize others to accomplish task and projects and make sure things get completed. I am also looked upon as a motivator at times when we have face challenges in the ministry. I currently serve as the Praise and Worship leader and have often wondered why this exhortative attitude seems to come so naturally. Although I can probably be labeled an introvert, when I am operating in these gift people never seem to notice how terrified I am inwardly. I have always attributed this to God being the one doing it and not myself. PART TWO: Specifically, how can you use your gifts at this time? How might you misuse your gifts? Be specific. The gift of administration is most evident when there is a task or project to complete. Whether it's putting together our music ministry or even planning the events for men’s ministry I usually always take the lead and design a plan that will get the job accomplished in the allotted time. Also in the same areas I am usually the coach or motivator, helping to keep everyone excited and focused through to the end .I pray that I will be able to use these...

...Jeremiah Jolando Dutt Youth Ministry Class Notes Chapter Four: Conveying Your Purpose and Leading by Example * Leadership separates a purpose-driven youth ministry from an event-and-activity-driven youth ministry. How a Leader Conveys His Purpose * The more people that rally behind our purpose statement the healthier our ministry will become. * We must take on 3 responsibilities to make God’s purpose known within your youth ministry: 1. Communicate the purposes 2. Repeat the purposes 3. Make sure that key people memorize the purpose statement A Leader Communicates the Purposes * Your purpose cannot become a common purpose until people know about it. * To aid students, volunteers, parents, and church leaders in retaining your purpose statement, you will need to continually communicate it. A Leader Repeats the Purposes * A good leader will constantly communicate the purposes and remind people of the importance of knowing them. * No one will know the purposes or value them as much as the point person of the ministry. The Leader Makes Sure Key People Memorize the Purpose Statement * Even after you convey your purpose statement and repeat it you will find that some of your key people need to be nudged to memorize it. ...very serious relationship with, my dad says my priorities should be: 1st God, 2nd my girlfriend and family, 3rd should be whatever else I value. This reflects the balance that pastors must deal with on a daily basis, how to deal with a ministry while maintaining a healthy family life. My dad taught me exactly what pastors must do when they prioritize, to put God as number one, then focus on your family, and finally the church ministry. Keeping Priorities In Check There have been many cases where the pastor puts the ministry as number one on their list, then God, and then their families. An instance would be that they feel that God gave them their calling, they follow it, but they forget to keep a daily devotional life with the One who gave them the calling. But this isn’t the correct way to set one’s priorities. Although a pastor may justify himself in that the ministry was his calling, I don’t believe that is the way God called us to conduct our lives. Yes, saving lives and bringing people over to Christ is a very important issue, and a noble cause, but what good is it to win the whole world yet loses one’s sole? A better example would be, to win the whole but lose one’s family. Some people may even put God number one, ministry number two, and family at third place. This is probably the most...

Based on assumption that the projection is correct, the Ministry has several options to meet the annual budget of $800,000. First, the Ministry could decide not to treat certain disease to cut down the budget. For example, the Ministry could meet the annual budget of $800,000 by deciding not to consider the Measles and Worms treatment at all. Second, the Ministry could make a decision that only pre-decided number of children would be given drugs for treatment. For example, the Ministry could decide to provide free treatments to about 70% of the estimated patients who need treatments to meet the annual budget. Third, the Ministry could decide to subsidize the treatments for the patients. The government could take a responsible for taking up to about 70% of treatment costs and the patients should pay the rest of the amount. However, the Ministry should make a decision after taking into consideration of the magnitude of each disease so that negative impact of the options could be minimized. 3. Based on the total drug costs calculated above, the markup cost that the Minister had anticipated is $116,252 that is 10% of the total drug cost. However, in order to cover the annual operating costs...

...time. It allows for accountability as it shows every action that has been taken and tells you who performed that action. Fellowship One is a computer system that makes the functions of the church run smoothly. This system also allows members to search for different small groups through the church website. This system also makes several other processes at the church run much smoother and more quickly. Excel allows users to input an abundant amount of data into one location. This is a simple system to keep track of several different subjects in one easy to read report. You can have one spreadsheet with all the necessary information for different areas of ministry. The three systems above all work together in a bigger underlying system which is the churches system of accountability. As long as everyone involved in the ministry of the church use the above referenced systems, in the manner they are to be used, the church administration can hold themselves and anyone who takes part in ministering in the church accountable for their actions. The church is effective in helping its members by using these sets of...

Summary 7 Practices of Effective Ministry is a book written by Andy Stanley, which outlines steps to be taken or practiced by ministry leaders in order to have an effective ministry. It outlines areas in the ministry and accentuates solutions to issues that most church ministries fail to grasp; as they (Church ministries) endeavor to carry out day to day operations of their ministries. Moreover, he emphasizes the importance of practicing effective avenues to invigorate the ministry. Furthermore, he outlines seven steps which he calls, clarify the win, think steps not program, narrow the focus, teach less for more, listen to outsiders, replace yourself, and work on it. ...The Original Keep We know that after the Norman Conquest (and the initial massacres) Britain settled down to an uneasy peace. The Viking raids became much less of a concern, everyday life was probably more settled than it had been in the 10th century. The Normans bought with them castle building technologies, and throughout the 11-14th centuries they build hundreds of castles throughout England, which in turn influenced Scottish Kings and barons to build their own fortifications. The foundations of Hogwarts Castle probably dates from this period. The important thing to remember is that Hogwarts Castle was never built to be a school because boarding schools, as we would understand them, did not exist at the point when it was built. It was likely that the original hill fort settlement of Hogwarts was already in an ideal defensive location and the local baron (probably also a magical person) started building a castle to protect the economically important town. The first phase of building would have resulted in nothing more than a square stone tower (called a keep) and strengthening of existing walls. However we know from history that castles, if they were strategically important, were constantly expanded and updated. Thus Hogwarts castle probably grew in size over the next few centuries adding a great hall, towers, ramparts etc. The round towers described in the book would not have been added until the 14th century, when it was discovered that round towers were better...

...Allita Walker 51 Pat Mell Road SW Marietta, Georgia 30060 September 1, 2012 Pastor L. Collins, Senior New Hope Christian Fellowship Ministries P O Box 956606 Marietta, Georgia 30064 Greetings Pastor Collins: I am submitting the attached proposal for consideration by you, the First Lady, and the members of New Hope Christian Fellowship Ministries. This proposal identifies the problems of declining membership at your church as well as possible solutions. I have been a member of New Hope Christian Fellowship Ministries for over seven years and have watched the revolving door of members for that time. In the last eight months, I have observed many members leaving and attendance declining but unlike in the past, new members are not coming into the ministry. As a result of the declining membership and attendance numbers, the ministry is also experiencing low donations and the ministry is struggling to pay its bills. During the last few months, the significantly low donations have begun to threaten the future of New Hope. This proposal will address the problems that I have mentioned; it will also offer solutions that have the potential to provide significant relief to your ministry. Your ministry has been serving the Cobb County, Georgia area for over 20 years and my objective is to create avenues that will keep this ministry thriving for many years to come. Please review the materials that I have included for your edification. The various parts include an abstract...

...Others are gifted with the natural ability to light up a room with charisma or cause people to burst with laughter at an instant. Regardless of background, pedigree or age I believe we all have gifts from God. These gifts were given to us to use for the exhortation of God and the building of his kingdom. Unfortunately we still have a major problem with getting people to lend their gifts to the house of God. Many people just don’t have an interest, or feel compelled to serve. They often times come to church year after year and do nothing. They have no interest what-so-ever to serve or assist in any capacity or manner within the ministry. No matter how many times we announce the need for ushers, greeters, children’s church teachers, camp counselors or choir members they have no desire to serve, even though they thoroughly enjoy the benefits of those ministries themselves. Someone once said people come to church with a SERVE-US mentality instead of a SERVICE mentality. This statement is truly echoed and brought to life when people are selecting churches in this modern day climate. People are no longer concerned about the mission of the church, the goals or the church or the history of the church they are only concerned about what that particular church can do for them personally. Rarely do you see people who wonder what they can do for the church. This paper will discuss how people can be encouraged to dedicate their gifting to God and use it in the local church. We will discuss “understanding...
