As a caucasian young lady, I know nothing about the african american history of slavery. After I read The Narrative of Frederick Douglass, i’ve learned that when Douglass learned to read he realized slavery was not fit for humans. He viewed enslavers as criminals. Douglass wanted to be an animal. When Douglass was a boy he was set to live with his relative of his first master, Hugh Auld. His wife thought him how to read and she claimed that Douglass was unfit for slavery, Other humans too. Frederick Douglass made enslavers sound and look like criminals because when people go into your house and steels things thats called a criminal. So when someone goes into you own house and steels you that makes enslavers sound and look like criminals.
