...A lot of people say graduating early is great, but I still manage to think graduate the traditional way is way better! When you graudate the traditional way you'll get the full high school experience, and get to have way more fun. Whats the rush? Were only teenagers, everyone should enjoy all four years of highschool. Graduating in three years is fine too , but you have to put the work in. You wont get to go out as much with your friends, or just to chill after school , or even in the summer. Those three years you would have to work hard and stay consistent throughout the school year. It would be nice to have a extra year to just do what you want, but its not worth rushing through your highschool epxerience. Everybody should graduate as a class,at the same time, the traditional way,so everyone can spend time together and always remember their four years of highschool. Although graduating early may seem like the best thing to do, you have to put a lot of time into it. You will have to go to summer school, take extra classes, and spend a lot of time into the books. Graduting early doesn't come easy ,you have to put your time and dedication before anything else. Your going to have to...

...Graduating high school will be a bittersweet moment. I will be happy about finally graduation but I will be sad about leaving all my teachers behind. After high school, I plan to commute to New Hampshire Technical Institute (NHTI) in Concord, New Hampshire. I will be majoring in Mechanical Engineering. I have always wanted to become a engineer ever since I was in fourth grade, so this will be exciting. While at college, my goal is to work a part time job in order to pay off a portion of the money that I owe in student loan and live at home so that I can save more money. College is a big change and it will be nice for me to live at home and still keep some normal life while everything else is changing. I hope that wherever I end up working, it is a place that has people that I can make friends with easily. I am really looking forward to this new experience and hope that so many good things will come from it. After high...

...I have never felt so accomplished in my life before; I have been waiting since every young for this day to come. I always hated school the result of its long hours behind a desk listening to a teacher lecture about a subject. The same routine for thirteen years, starting with kindergarten having to wake up early to get to school, then after school go home to do homework, and sleep. With being so eager to graduate, I never took a second to pause and just take it in to appreciate my life. Graduating high school was one of my most important goals in life; unfortunately, it went by too quick and wished there was a way to go back on this special day to relive it. At the end of the day, I could not believe I just graduated and wouldn’t have to...

...Graduating from high school was one of the most incomparable experiences of my life. I was never someone who fit in with the crowd easily. While most teenagers my age liked to go out, party, drink and do drugs, I spent my time doing homework, reading, at work, or hanging out with my family. While I’d like to admit I didn’t dream about just rebelling against my parents by lying, sneaking out, and staying up all night with strangers, some part of me does. I mean, isn’t that what highschool is about nowadays? Ask any high school student today, and I will bet my next paycheck that most of them are used to ways of college life, the life of drinking, doing drugs, and partying one that is. That’s why when I got accepted to Eastern, that inner rebellious teenager of mine came out again. College wasn’t what I had expected. Of course, I’ve only been at Eastern for a semester so what do I really know. What I do know, is I’ve learned a lot during this specific course, which cannot be broken down in a single sentence. I’ll admit, when I was registering for classes back in August as a incoming freshman I decided to take all “easy” classes, speech, art history and literature. I thought to myself, literature couldn’t be that hard right? It’s just reading a whole lot of...

...CORRELATES TO CAREER PREFERENCE OF GRADUATING STUDENTS OF THE CLSU SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL submitted by: CHERYL ANN P. GALVEZ to: Dr. Arneil G. Gabriel In partial fulfillment of the requirements in Research Methodology for Public Administration PA 213 SY 2014-2015 2nd sem CORRELATES TO CAREER PREFERENCE OF GRADUATING STUDENTS OF THE CLSU SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL INTRODUCTION Education is often regarded as passport to social mobility. This simply means that education can pave the way to an individual’s better and promising future. This is the very reason why the Philippine Constitution provides for at least free formal basic education, more particularly in public schools Formal basic education under the new educational system in the country is now popularly known as K-12, which begins with the kindergarten and proceeds to 12 years in the elementary and secondary level. Unlike the old educational system which emphasized the value of a college degree before employment, the new program which begun to be implemented in 2014, hopes to equip every learner who graduates after senior high school (Grade 12) with the opportunity for improved employment and entrepreneurship while ensuring that the high school graduate has the needed competencies to pursue a college degree either immediately or at some later stage (Luistro, 2012). Students who will be finishing their high school education under the new educational program may therefore be better enlightened as to what...

...TIME MANAGEMENT AND STUDY HABITS OF GRADUATING ACCOUNTING STUDENTS IN THE UNIVERSITY OF MINDANAO A Research Paper Presented to Prof. Jocel Siglos – CASE Faculty In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for English 201: Academic Writing, 5:30-6:30 PM By Ang, Diana Rose De Lima, Geralden Tampus, Christian Leonard March 2016 Chapter 1 The Problem and its Settings Background of the Study Time is a very important concept for everyone, especially for BSA students who want to graduate and earn a degree. In a short span of time, a student must do his assignments, pass projects before or on the deadline, and for graduating students, there’s the pre-review courses which require a lot of reading and problem solving. Time becomes even more important when they enter the professional industry since an accountant has to deal with periodic reporting and tax return filing deadlines. One would easily conclude that without proper time management and good study habits, anyone will fail in anything. Thus this study aims to explore these factors and how it actually affects the academic performances of accounting students, especially the graduating ones. Time management, as defined by Wikipedia.org, is the act or process of planning and exercising conscious control over the amount of time spent on specific activities, especially to increase effectiveness, efficiency or productivity. It is a skill that each BSA student must have in order to remain in the college....

...CHAPTER I INTRODUCTION Every student wishes to have a successful career in the future. Through education, student’s dream and goal will come true. Education provides knowledge, skills, and learning that students’ need in order for them to have a good educational background. This is one of the reasons why many high school students think of courses that will provide a highest educational attainment. Some students chose courses that will make them most popular and most superior among others. Not knowing that it was a big mistake. Over the years, this kind of system is not prevented instead it is overspreading among the students especially Civil Engineering students. Some students taking BSCE in SLSU were not totally convinced in choosing this course. Some of those enrolled in this course are just following their parents’ want. Some are just want to follow their grandfather’s, grandmother’s, father’s, mother’s, or even neighbor’s steps. Some just copied courses from their classmates just like copying a seatmate’s answer in a quiz. Students do this knowing that this should be thought deeply for this will lead them towards a bright future. Hossler, Braxton, and Coopersmith (1989), stated that College choice is defined as a complex, multistage process during which an individual develops aspirations to continue formal education beyond high school, followed later by a decision to attend a specific college, university or institution of advanced vocational training. However, taking...

...CHAPTER I INTRODUCTION Background of the Study Structural materials can be categorized in many ways in many different ways. One of the most common is by the nature of their failure. Materials, such as steel, after reaching their elastic limit, deform plastically before failing. Such materials, where reasonably large plastic strains are observed, are broadly categorized as ductile. On the other hand, those materials that exhibit little or no plasticity are in contrast termed brittle. In structural design, ductile materials are usually preferred, because failure is rarely sudden and catastrophic. Once the material has yielded, large observable strains will occur before total collapse of a structure. Steel, the most common primary structural building material, generally behaves in a ductile fashion. However, during the World War II, over 200 steel ships suffered serious brittle fracture, often at relatively low stress levels. It was observed that brittle behavior, in normally ductile materials, almost always occurs in regions of elastic stress concentration, where some constraint exists to prevent plastic stress redistribution (McGuire, 1968) Following these experiences, designers realized that brittle fracture in steel could be avoided by sensible detailing. This is also true of reinforced concrete. Concrete itself, is a brittle composite, but with the addition of reinforcements concrete it behaves in a ductile fashion. In an earthquake-prone areas, where designing for ductility...

...CHAPTER I Introduction Cigarette smoking is tremendously widespread and is the most crucial problem that many countries are facing up to now. Despite all laws that restrict smoking and the emphasis of media that smoking kills, it still remains as the most addictive vice that begins early in childhood and adolescence which results to a lifetime habit. Tobacco use is one of the preventable causes of death, yet, will be the leading cause of preventable and premature deaths globally in next few years (Salazar, 2004). As years come, the average age of smokers is declining. The youth is greatly and easily influenced by smoking especially if proper guidance for them to avoid it was not established. Indisputably, smoking creates a big impact on people, and year by year, the population of smokers increase thus tobacco-related illnesses that may lead to death also increase. Even the expression that “Warning: Smoking is bad for your health.” is not enough to encourage people especially the young to pick up the habit. It is seriously evident that the several programs or regulations formed to avoid and quit smoking needs more “press on” to switch down its impression to the people Background of the Study There are 1.25 billion smokers around the globe and consequently, one-third to one-half of it, which is almost 6 million people, will be killed in the year 2010 from the disruptive effects of smoking. According to the nonprofit research and advocacy organizations, smoking rates...

...Benefits of a Baccalaureate Education in Nursing Benefits of a Baccalaureate Education in Nursing Nurses that complete nursing school at a baccalaureate degree level will be more prepared and have higher competency levels than nurses graduating from an ADN program. Grand Canyon University follows the guidelines from the American Association of College of Nursing (AACN) for the curriculum regarding the nursing education, including the RN-BSN program. (Grand Canyon University College of Nursing Philosophy, 2011) The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) fact sheet (Creating a More Highly Qualified Nursing Workforce, October 2012) talks about how baccalaureate nurses have more positive outcomes than an associate degree nurse. This refers to not only lower mortality rates but other factors such as medication errors. This shows that a BSN thinks outside of the box and treats the patient as a whole The focus of a patient, while hospitalized, is that they just want to get better. They want to know who brings their medication and who makes their bed. They don’t get to see the educational background of each nurse that cares for them. To them a nurse is a nurse. What the focus of a baccalaureate nurse caring for them is to treat the patient as a whole, not just the person who gives medications. Associate degree programs have been around since 1952. The ADN focus is concerned with the technical aspects of nursing. The focus is meeting the needs of the person through...

...Some school districts offer programs that allow high school students to graduate in three years instead of the traditional four years. Usually students do not graduate three early due to extra curricular activities such as sports or clubs. In most cases, teenagers graduate at the age of either seventeen or eighteen as well as receive their diploma in May. I believe students should should not graduate in three years for the reason that they would have no time out of school due to mandatory classes, stress from classes, as a consequence they would miss the joyful memories of high school. Students would have no time out of school in view of all the homework they will receive. These homework assignments include classes such as math, history, english,...
