...Research Proposal on Ebola Virus Disease Arvaya Y. Corbins Bryant & Stratton College Research and Writing III 11/17/2014 Abstract America may not be totally prepared for what the Center for Disease Control (CDC) is currently encountering. The author examines the pandemic of diseases such as Ebola, Enterovirus, and MRSA suggesting possible ways of containment to prevent further spreading in hospitals, as well as proper diagnosis, and handling. This information was obtained through interviews with the Infection Prevention Director of Columbia St. Mary’s via Fox 6 News. Information was also obtained, evaluated, and studied from media outlets such as the Journal Sentinel, research website, Center for Disease Control and Prevention and an Ebola symposium. Lastly, the author expresses the importance of clear and concise communication between all Administration and Staff at Columbia St. Mary’s. This communication stems anywhere from clear and plain signage on doors, and entry ways of Emergency Departments, Urgent Care facilities, and Physicians’ offices. This signage communication will help an individual detect any flu like symptoms associated with the Ebola virus disease (EVD), so the proper steps can be taken immediately to isolate the disease itself. ...Chapter 1 INTRODUCTION Rationale Millions of athletes, runners and sports club are looking for an activity for their daily health awareness through foot race, jogging and marathon each day. At the same time, people are more conscious now for their body figure which really help them a lot to develop it well. Running is a means of terrestrial locomotion allowing humans and other animals to move rapidly on foot. It is thought that human running evolved at least four and a half million years ago out of the ability of the ape-like Australopithecus, an early ancestor of humans, to walk upright on two legs. Early studies on endurance running used X-ray and interview techniques to evaluate competitors and comment on performance. Since then, comparatively few studies have looked at runners competing in distances longer than a marathon. This study aims to analyze the feasibility of footrace in Cebu for long-distance running in order to develop a theoretical model for the marketability of foot race in the City. This pioneering study will assess also to the impact of extreme endurance on human physiology and the body's potential ability and willingness to in gage in this type of activity. The results will be of interest not only to endurance runners, but to anyone interested in the limits of human performance. Running competitions have probably existed for most of humanity's history and were a key part of the ancient Olympic Games as well as the modern Olympics. Although running is...

...Australian Beverages Ltd-Pre-seen case study information A Introduction to Australian Beverages Ltd In 1937, Australian Beverages Ltd (ABL) commenced manufacturing soft drinks [non-alcoholic drinks rather than 'hard' drinks that contain alcohol]. During the 1970s and 1980s, the company expanded its beverage portfolio by entering into other non-alcoholic beverage categories, such as fruit- and milk- based drinks. In 2011, the company was Australia's largest supplier of non-alcoholic beverages. Tom Dwyer, the current Managing Director, has been with the company since 2008. He joined the company at a time when carbonated soft drinks (CSDs) growth was stagnating and shareholder confidence in the company was waning. Dwyer established a strategic planning team within the company to assess the current product portfolio and identify organic and acquisition growth opportunities. From this review the importance of operational excellence was identified and strong investment was made in world-class manufacturing facilities and systems. Process re-engineering was implemented to reduce the costs of manufacturing and time-to-market. Given the declining consumption of CSDs, Managing Director Tom Dwyer has sought to reduce ABL's reliance on them, focusing on growing new products and entering new non-alcoholic beverage categories since his appointment in 2008. Alongside significant investment in product development of other non-alcoholic beverages, several acquisitions have been made to...

We have done so within the scope of our Company’s wholly owned operations. For 2012, and the 2011/2012 Sustainability Report specifically, our Company has self-declared a grade B against the GRI G3.1 Guidelines. This year’s Sustainability Report has also received verification by a third-party external verification agency, FIRA Sustainability BV. Their verification is evidenced by a “+” sign next to our grade B, which reflects their verification and approval of our tracking systems. Throughout this report, you will find the KPIs that we have addressed, along with additional information regarding our most critical initiatives and programs. While we strive to continuously increase our transparency, some of the information requested in response to additional KPIs could put at risk our ability to compete and therefore...
