Internship Reflection Internships have a significant impact on interns and play a large role in the education of any Family and Consumer Sciences major. I interned at James T. Davis Paint and Design center as an assistant to the interior designers. Personally, my internship was a highly positive and allowed me to grow as an interior designer and a person. As I reflect back on what I learned my internship has helped me as I searched for a job and began job training. I am so glad I had the opportunity intern and wish I had done more than one internship, whether official or not.

Admittedly, my supervisor had Liberty University interns before and was familiar with how the Family and Consumer Sciences department does internships. That made the whole process easier. I know in the past that student have struggled to get the supervisor to actually fill out paperwork and turn it in, but I do not know how that could be changed in the future. For the different majors, it is important to know if there is a season for what they are studying. Remodeling is not done much in the winter months, so there were not many customers at the beginning of my internship. That was good because I could ease into the work, but also I did not learn as much for the first several …show more content…
I had to put effort into not only finding a church but getting to one. Since I came from another country, there were many new things I experienced, including American church culture. The sermons were different than those I heard before and caused me to grow in new ways. Some missionary kids on my hall were highly influential in helping me find places to grow spiritually that would challenge me. Through several wonderful girls on my hall I was introduced to a great church and started going to campus church on Wednesdays. Between this, convocation, Bible classes, and prayer groups I had more direct teaching on God than I think I ever had before. As I was homeschooled with a Christian curriculum I was surprised to feel that way. I felt like I got off to an excellent start

...History The key factor which drove the early history of the enterprise that would become The Nestlé Company was Henri Nestlé's search for a healthy, economical alternative to breastfeeding for mothers who could not feed their infants at the breast. In the mid-1860s Nestlé, a trained pharmacist, began experimenting with various combinations of cow's milk, wheat flour and sugar in an attempt to develop an alternative source of infant nutrition for mothers who were unable to breast feed. His ultimate goal was to help combat the problem of infant mortality due to malnutrition. He called the new product Farine Lactée Henri Nestlé. Nestlé's first customer was a premature infant who could tolerate neither his mother's milk nor any of the conventional substitutes, and had been given up for lost by local physicians. People quickly recognized the value of the new product, after Nestlé's new formula saved the child's life and within a few years, Farine Lactée Nestlé was being marketed in much of Europe. Henri Nestlé also showed early understanding of the power of branding. He had adopted his own coat of arms as a trademark; in Swiss German, Nestlé means 'little nest'.
