...Nutrition Drive- Juice What is Nutrition Drive? Ask a captain or a person who regularly spends his/her evening on a sports field/court, you’ll certainly hear the problem of the not-so-nutritious diet made available to them in their hall mess & canteen. Our campus provides quality food at hostel level, no doubt. But those people who follow a rigorous routine of workouts, gym, road-running, weekly matches, this mess food doesn’t guarantee the total nutrition that should be. Nutrition drive is being initiated with this motive only. The Games & Sports Council wants every deserving player of its contingent to get the maximum benefit. How to begin? Every 6 days a week, from 8 30 to 9 30pm a juice stall would be booked in front of hall 3, specifically for sports people. The stall owner would be given a list of captain’s & vice-captain’s name on it. Students who are regular in practice and have attended the practice session on that day can avail this facility, this would be done under the supervision of the captain or the vice-captain, one of them has to be present along with them. Every sport that our campus students play has a different strength than the other. To account for this, number of students who can benefit from this activity would be limited & the thing most important to this, only regular students can utilize this opportunity. There can be 3 different types of Juices that can be provided, namely pineapple, orange & any other seasonal fruit...

Stress is your body’s response to events that makes you feel threatened about your life in some way. There are many things that cause stress for all ages and many people experience stress, but college students have the most amount of stress to deal with. According to the dictionary stress is the importance, significance, or emphasis placed on something. According to Walker and her Teenagers in Distress Series people may experience stress when they become very busy, have deadlines to make, or do not have enough time to finish everything they wanted. People may stress about simple things like flying and animals, but many people experience stress from the fear of failing, being humiliated, or experiencing a death of a family member. ...One thing you can do as an individual staff member would be to learn about your students and be empathetic to things that happen. Understand that some of these students who are in poverty may not always be on time for class or they may not be able to bring in things to share with the class. You as a teacher need to learn about each and every child in your class and offer help if needed to those families that are in need. Another thing you could do is to send child development information or nutrition information home with your students for parents to read. A parent may have time at the end of the night to read something that you send home so if you send home information they can use they may benefit. “On December 10, 2015, President Obama...

...in school. No matter what academic level each student who walks into my classroom is at, learning cannot take place unless I first establish a positive learning environment. I have learned from my own children that they are happiest when boundaries are established, expectations are clear, and there is no confusion with how our household is going to run or the consequences they will face if they choose not to follow the rules. The same is true for the students within our classrooms. The boundaries I establish at the beginning of the year sets the tone for the duration of the time my students will spend with me. When there is a well thought out plan and students are aware of what is expected, no matter the activity, students will experience effective learning. Centers are an effective teaching strategy that allows self-directed learning amongst students. During a 90 minute reading block, I plan to use literacy centers while I am reading in small groups. This activity will be used every day for the entire year so it will be extremely important for my students to understand the appropriate procedures and my expectations for center time. My first expectation of my students at all center time activities is to use only a 12 inch voice, my second expectation is for my students to respect their peers and materials at each station, my third expectation is to stay on task, and my final expectation for center time is for my students to leave the station tidy and as it was when they...
