The data collected from the AIMS assessment is used for a variety of purposes, the biggest being to track a student’s yearly academic progress in each core subject area, and to track individual student’s and create individualized plans for those students falling below grade level. If the school as a whole, has a large percentage that falls far below in a certain subject area, the data is then used to develop a campus wide plan of action to improve those scores for the next school year. This plan would include the use of multiple interventions that would provide students with more individualized skills practice, as well as include professional development on alternate teaching styles and methods for teachers.
