...January 31, 2007 To Whom It May Concern: It is with great pleasure that I can speak so highly of Joshua Dattalo on a personnel and professional level and give good character witness too. I am Chief Warrant Officer Douglas Dombrowski, the Battalion Maintenance Officer for HHC 4-112th Armor Battalion. Joshua has worked for and with me for the past ten years in the Texas National Guard. In the time he has worked for me, he has shown knowledge and skill that far exceeds that of his colleagues. Joshua has consistently gone above and beyond his conventional responsibilities never questioning, without merit, my direction. Joshua has developed so much over the years from a boy to a man. He works as a mechanic on military equipment; he started as an inexperienced kid with little knowledge and a lot of ambition to better himself. He has progressed into a leadership position as a sergeant and as been currently working his job and two grades above him due to the shortage of manning. In addition to those duties he is responsible for the health and welfare of his soldiers. Joshua is very dedicated and committed and takes his responsibilities very seriously. He spends personnel time and money helping the Texas National Guard to ensure the mission requirements are met. I know Joshua very well and can say he is a good man, with good character; he has done so many good things for our unit and the Texas National Guard. If you have any questions or concerns regarding...

...Two years ago a teacher from a Management club came into my school and I realized that I would love to attend the lectures there. Throughout my course of education there I participated in several junior projects and started reading business and leadership books. That made me consider what great opportunities does the modern world offer for both starting a new venture or developing one and I decided that I will put my efforts to continue my education in a Business specialty. Ever since I started school, I was interested in chess and Mathematics. Until 7th grade I had taken many prizes and top places in regional and national contests and I decided that I would like to (надграждам) my analytics abilities and critical thinking by choosing to attend High School of Mathematics, where I got accepted with 98% on the exams. In 10th grade I attended my first Mathematics conference where I was offered to conduct a publication of my project „Conway Circle” which mainly consisted of problems I had created and solved and got accepted to participate in a Summer Research School which I did in 11th grade as well, this time with project entitled “Extremums of Trigonometrical functions”. Throughout my three weeks there (In the summer school) I encountered one of the most promising young Mathematicians with whom I could discuss experiences, ideas and opportunities, as well as maintaining friendship and becoming a very united community. I had attended many competitions and naturally most of my work...

...On July 16, 2012, Marissa Mayer was appointed President and CEO of Yahoo!, effective the following day. Mayer changed the overall business strategy which had been changing over the years because Yahoo! was quite often changing its CEO. The constant changes in leadership made Yahoo! appear to be an unstable company, and Mayer hoped to fix that. She has not said exactly what the company’s strategy is, but we can of course make assumptions based on what strategies she’s been implementing and what she’s been changing. As we can take form her Q&A session during the Goldman Sachs (GS) Technology and Internet conference on February 12th, 2013 (CNN.com), she is focusing the company on the “big four” (search, display ads, mobile, and video). Right now Yahoo! offers about 60 mobile apps and they want to bring it down to 12-14. They will also be revamping and updating the apps that do stay, all in an effort to, as she put it, “services are No. 1”. On February 20th, 2013, Yahoo! began rolling out their new and improved homepage. The webpage has a design intended to “deliver a consistent experience across the desktop, tablets, and phones that gives users a bottomless, personalized well of news and information, while at the same time delivering targeted ads across devices” (Wired.com). There were major changes to Yahoo Mail, and their new Flickr app. With many new features such as an infinite news scroll, with the ability to set preferences to determine what pops up in the infinite scroll...

...looking through their qualifications, companies immediately limit their search for the right candidate for a position, as they are not looking through all potential employees without bias (Tabl 2010). Also, a companies reputation may suffer in their discrimination against people of certain ages is brought to light to the public, such as Apple’s has been in this case study, which could potentially cause the company to lose current employees if they no longer wish to work for a discriminatory company. Also, a reputation for discrimination with reduce the number of people applying and wishing to work there, also decreasing the potential employee pool, and therefore potential advancement of the company (Richardson et al 2012). RECCOMENDATIONS RECCOMENDATION 1 This kind of discrimination is often based on global and frequent stereotypes and misconceptions regarding people of certain ages. These stereotypes set a barrier for increased employment of older people in certain industries, such as the technological industry as seen in the case study. However, recognition of this stereotype to decrease unfair discrimination does not necessarily translate to supportive systems set in place to aid older employees at a company (Stypinksa and Turek 2017). In response to this, recommendations can be made to businesses to implement contributive practices and aids to limit ageism within a workplace. For example, one recommendation would be to have training programs for older people who may not...

The explosion was caused when an under burdened explosive detonation ignited coal dust. The explosion of this mine should not have been a surprise to anyone. There were also union complaints and letters to state officials. Various officials of mine safety agencies and the mine company were notified on more than one occasion. ...Starbucks inspection Quality, Service and Cleanliness check T: *1402030328 DD: 814 580 7272 Executive Summary There have been many complaints regarding our service, quality and cleanliness of our main franchise. I went to further analysis these complaints to find out whether they held any truth. My findings will be revealed within this report and I will detail my scores for each area that is believed to be suffering. As everyone within this company is well aware we do not accept second best or strive to meet average. We strive for excellence and we usually achieve this. In summary, my research concluded that we do not need to change a lot within this franchise. This store is flowing very well and the customers seem very happy. I did however see why there was reason to complain. At peak times our staff seems demanding and pushy, although they are just trying to achieve good work flow and speed. They tend to demand the customer orders quickly and do not pay enough attention to ones order because of they are thinking about the next order. The other issue of cleanliness is basically a non-issue, the place is immaculate and in tip top shape. Of course, I went to this site unannounced so they had no time to clean the place and I must say it looked very clean. To understand more of the problems and my suggestions please read on.
