Industrial Setting
Since this setting recquires corporate attire so I prepared my formal clothes. I don't have that much so I'm a bit worried if I would run out of clothes to wear. Good thing that we were allowed to wear our white uniform. However, sometimes we were mistaken as a nurse intern. At that time, I was torn with my classess and last setting of internship. I was looking for a company where can be located near our house or rather near in our school. I even thougt of applying in our school's human resource department but I already had my education setting there so I declined the idea. Then, Dennis refered that we should try Bayan Academy. He said that it was a good company and they included the lunch hours and overtime hours. There were two building that was handled by Bayan Academy. One which the director, finance management, etc were staying. The second one where I worked which handled the training of call center, commercial cooking, and entrepreneurship. Most likely, I am expecting to have worked with trainees. When I first met the staff I was a bit nervous. I think they were kind checking us out. At first, I've waited for them to give a job. The office is just a small room where the staff works. There were other rooms or the trainings and seminars where held. They were nice and seems to have a good atmosphere because they seem to get along with each other. Unlike to the other building, the atmosphere was a bit heavy and serious. Of course, to fit in their environment I always remember to be respectful and polite. The first thing that fascinated me the most was on how fast they were typing. I heard the tapping of the keyboards like if it's going to break. I, for one were not that fast in typing. Maybe, I thought to myself I should practice my typing skills if I want to succeed in this field. I was a bit worried then that I would be working to the other building, where the people looks strict and serious. Thank God, Sir Philip said that they don't need interns in their department instead he let us work to the training and services department. During the first week, I was still getting used to the travel time because it got longer than the usual. So, I prepared earlier in the morning to attend to my duty and attend my class in the afternoon.
Good thing about their organization was their bond when they were working. Although they work seriuosly, sometimes they make their work lighter under pressure. The Director is a very kind man. He even told us if we were not contented with the grades we received we can tell him. On the other hand,my immediate supervisor Sir Art, is a homosexual. So my first impression of him was he might be quite terror and strict. Although he was a bit like that, he was nice enough to me when I was asking for further instruction when he had a job for me to do. Unlike the other staff in the next building the staff where I dutied were morr affable. Whenever I go to the next building next if sometimes there were papers to be signed I'm really not comfortable with it at first. But then as when my stay there got longer I get used to their environment in the long run.
During my stay there, my usual work would be most of the time paperworks and sorting files. Actually, I was doing my immediate supervisor's work in handling his trainees. My work was has following steps and process. First, I wrote the information of the trainees on their voucher and certificate. I was wondering then why I was writing while I could encode it. But I just followed what was ordered so I'm just doing work. Along with it I stapled their pictures and after that I encoded their enrollment report and terminal report. I'm doing it batch per batch. Next thing would be I was asked to call the trainees for their assessment. I called each and everyone of them per batch about their schedule since they can't be scheduled at the same time. I felt that I was a call center agent at that time calling them. I remembered that if I haven't heard of them or they won't answer my calls I won't be able to reach my quota of 20 students per assessment day. Luckily, I reached my quota and the assessment day arrived. I was a bit worried if they won't come. Every assessment I had to assist the trainees and do their RWAC. This I do this cycle per whenever there were a new batch. Everytime I have to be careful in encoding and writing their information. I was not really good in terms of paper work so I tried my best to do my job properly. Sometimes, I don't know whom I'll be taking orders when they were asking to do a job at the same time. So I did was I finished my current work first before taking another job from my another superior. Another tasked that I did was for Ms. She, she is a very sweet woman. She would treat me as her little sister. I thought then that I want to be like her. She handles the entrepreneurial courses of mostly small businesses up to a bigger enterprises. I remembered then that I assisted one of her seminar and she introduced me to everyone as her sister because were both petite. That's one thing I like about their team. If It's time to work they work seriously and they would joke around and tease each other to lessen the burden of work. moreover, I'd encountered doing minutes of meeting like I was a secretary back then. I was also amazed on how they get nervous when the director would suddenly barge un the office. I thought to myself, they're also the same whenever your facing a superior.
One thing that I noticed was that my immediate supervisor, Sir Art was a bit forgetful. So whenever make it to the point of fixing his files in order so that once he would look for I would easily look for it. Otherwise, if he had took those files and place it somewhere else. I'd arranged it again in order. All in all all of their staff was very kind to us, they would even offered us food whenever there were assessment and seminars. They would even tease us interns so I felt a comfortable in thenlong run.
Whenever I am free I would asked my bosses of what still I can do or if they have tasked for me to do. I think that is for me the meaning of being useful, taking initiative to be useful for them. Some of works were appraised thanking me after doing the job. But mostly they must have expected me in doing something since I am there for internship. I would gladly to take a difficult assignment. I was regretful when my supervisor asked me to interview one of the successful trainee of Bayan Academy but Sir Art said that the person had gone home already. I lost the oppurtunity to interview him. It could have been one of the most unforgetable experience of my internship days. I also remembered doing the tasked without me asking because more likely I get used to doing the job which was just have a repeating process. I was also inspired by the trainees there because even a professional who graduated college, they don't stop studying and continue to strive more for their dreams will come true. I have witnessed it because I got the chance to encode some of their wonderful success stories. Specially those whom went through a tough fight just to fullfill their dreams. I've learned here learned in this setting being in an office was not that bad. Before I don't really like this setting but with this oppurtunity I've got the chance to meet and experienced how the real world out there. And to make you succeed you have to earn it with all the best you have got in order to achieve it.
Without biase, this setting was I excited to eperienced before. I was excited and nervous at the same time of what would be the cases that we will be handling. I know that this setting recquires a lot of patience and hardwork in order to get along with the patients inside the center. I prepare myself to experience the real thing of what we had discuss during the clinical/abnormal psychology class. I was excited and even imagined what we were be facing. Before we were already decided to take first our clinical setting and have it in Life Change Recovery Center. We heard from our upper classman that they had fun and if we want to have a lot of things to do we should try there. So we chose to apply and went to the center. At first we can't find their exact location so we had rode a cab and still can't find it. So we decided to walked and after a long walk we finally found. We first met our supervisor I was a bit amazed that our future supervisor were younger than I thought. Moreover, he is a pastor which doesn't really look like he is one. The place was a bit smaller than what ai had imagined when we get there. I remembered the first time we were there. We saw some interns that were preparing, painting a rock to be exact for their activity or an event perhaps. I already imagined myself to be doing that stuff if we got to allow to work there. I felt about sad when the supervisor told us that at that time they still have a lot of interns and line ups at the same time as us. we can still work there but we need to wait. Just as I thought, their center must be really good if that's the case. So the history continued and we decided to take our educational setting while we were waiting for the confirmation. Finally, we were accepted since the center was not that big its gives off a homely feeling and maybe that is one way of letting the patient to feel at home. The staff were a bit limited since it was a small center. While were talking about the rules and regulation inside the center. The housemates themselves amazed me the most. Actually, the fact that I was already in front of them was a bit nerve racking at first. But one thing that I am really sure of that time was I will surely enjoy everyday of my stay there. Of course, since it was my first time in a recovery center. I still don't know how to deal and interact with because I still do know each of their cases. I have always reminded myself the rules because each and every mistake comes with a sunction. We were responsible for each member of our team even one member'mistake can lead to the sunction of the whole group. So I'm a bit careful of what I do specially when facing the housemates.
In every workplace we are we should be aware of who are superior. But that doesn't mean that the only one whom you will respect are your superior but also the staff and the team you are in. Our supervisor was very hands on when it comes to us. Everyday we had our meeting so that all of the activities will went well. Good thing about the programs the center have was you got to develop and show case your talent whatever may it is. Each interns should have at least one module and one ice breaker to facilitate. Each in every module everyone should have a task or a responsibilities during the module or in the ice breaker. so you have to be versatile and flexible all the time. Each modules and ice breaker should have at least an sound system operator, distributor of materials, checklister of every material to be used inside the activity room, photographer and assistant facilitator and many more depending on the modules and ice breaker. We make it to the point that all of us will experienced different tasking. Although it was really tiring and exhausting physically and mentally ,the fun and the experienced with the housemates itself was fulfilling specially if the enjoyment and the objectives of each modules we conducted were obtained and had an impact to their life. Along the way our supervisor would guide us and a lotted time for us to talk everything through. So we haven't had a problem in terms of dealing with our supervisor. There were times of course that I was a bit countered transference but I make sure that I don't show it infront of the housemates. Specially if they talked about their struggles which you couldn't imagined how hard for them it is. There is nothing wrong with emphaty and symphaty but we were there to help them recover so I have to be careful in dealing with the housemates. I'd carefully chose my words. I had a lot of learning experience in the center which opened my mind whenever there were modules. It opened my eyes that unlike us who were facing what we think a huge problems their they were people like them who were facing a huge baggage that can not be easily ease away. It made me appreciate my life and specially my course more. I am really thankful that I got the best intern buddies and a good supervisor during my whole learning experience.
During my stay in the center, I've got to learn how to take initiative and be responsible in every little things you do for you won't be the one who will get blame for it. I remembered that I volunteered to assist one of the housemate who have difficulty of hearing and speaking during the modules. I took the initiative to assist him so that he can join the activity. It was acknowledged by our supervisor during the evaluation. Everyday we held an evaluation so everything will be tackled. I was glad that everyone appreciate every worked we had done and every modules. I was glad to helped because I always think that we are one team. I also learned that even you have defeated once you have a team to got your back. I had learned to have confidence in talking infront of people, sharing my thoughts and talents. I've learned to accept my defeats and move on and improve for the better.

Comprehensive Grammar Answer Form

...writing. In fact, the three universities that I have attended in the past have all required me to use the APA style of writing. As I recall my high school years, the APA style of writing also seemed to be a favorite amongst my high school teachers. They all required that term papers be written in APA style as well. This type of writing actually does not differ much from the ones included in the text reading. The text mentioned the APA style of writing several times. In my opinion, it appears to be the most popular style of writing, especially amongst college students. Based on the results of the quizzes, my grammar skills were actually a little better than average. I actually had expected to do better, but I guess my grammar skills are not as good as I thought they were. In any event I feel very confident when it comes to spelling, as I have always been a great speller. Even in grade school, I was a good speller. I learned at a very young age to challenge myself when it comes to spelling. Challenging my-self in that area really paid off as I became older, as I’ve never had a problem with spelling. However, I feel that I need more help with run on sentences and with thought patterns. Though I proof read my paper several times, it’s hard for me to see that I have several run on sentences until after I get my grade back. In general, I feel that my writing is just mediocre. However, I also believe that when it comes to writing, I am my own worst critic. Reason being, I am never...

I have to make sure that I don’t do that anymore. I have to make sure that I don’t forget the punctuations because I have the habit of not putting them where they belong and stuff. Reflection Instructions

...Reflection Paper Assignments Due Dates: March 20, April 3, May 1 Overview These reflection papers are the chance for you to review your recent journal entries (or the sum total, if that helps) and to synthesize some thread of thinking or learning that you find in there. You might build on a single entry or on something bridging multiple entries, but the point is to capture something that you are learning. We expect the paper to have some over-arching, coherent argument so that it is not simply a string of thoughts. A string of thoughts is fine for your journal entries, but here we do want some synthesis. You should not spend time summarizing your activities, unless that is essential for your argument. Grading Criteria The criteria we will use to evaluate the papers are listed below. Note that you do not have to address all of these criteria in one paper. We want you to address all of them over the course of the semester, but any single paper can focus on only one or two of these. Regardless of what you choose to write your reflection synthesis on, your paper must demonstrate clear, coherent argumentation. 1. Expression of Learning 2. Discussion and/or synthesis of course readings 3. Reflection on assumptions and cultural frames of reference 4. Connection to proposal process Word Count The reflection papers, except for the final one, should be at least 500 words, but not a lot longer than that. The final paper should be around...
