Senior Graduation Speech: Blue Valley Family

Senior Speech We have only been a part of the Blue Valley family for four short years, and now is time for us to leave. Many of us think the time flew by, while others (you know who you are) dreaded every second you were in this school and could not wait to get out. As we all go on to other places into our lives, we will always remember Blue Valley High. Blue Valley is where most of us developed into who we are today; it shaped us. It seemed like yesterday that we were scrawny little freshman exploring the big world around us trying to figure out where our classes were, dousing ourselves in AXE Body spray or perfume, and trying to avoid the upper classmen that frightened us. But as we progressed through high school, our lives have changed as well as our minds. We became smarter. We took harder classes and gained more people skills. Many of us shy freshman are very outgoing and not afraid to speak with adults. We learned to handle our busy schedules. Many of us had sports, jobs, and homework or studies to account for but we were able to balance our lives, mostly without the help of our parents. We also understood what it means to be a good student. We know a good student not only has to be physically present in class, but they need to be mentally present as well. Our future is not so distant like we thought it was a couple of years ago; our future is now. It begins today. We started this school as children, and are leaving as adults. Many of us will attend college, while others will join the military or go straight into the workforce. We will all travel down a separate path that is best for us. From all we have learned and accomplished at Blue Valley, I think we can all agree that Blue Valley has readied us for any obstacle in whatever we decide to do next. What I want from each of you is to not just skate by in life. Each of you have been given a great opportunity in a great community of people that
