...SWOT analysis - an introduction SWOT analysis provides a structure for analysing either your own strengths and weaknesses, and the opportunities and threats you face, or in a work context for analysing the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats a business or event faces. Ideally it is one step in a process which helps you to 1. appreciate the strengths of a situation, and you may then decide to build on these; 2. define the weaknesses, which you might choose to minimise; 3. make the most of the opportunities that present themselves, and 4. recognise the possible threats and treat them in a planned and organised way. SWOT analyses are not ends in themselves but a step before some action planning. SWOT analyses usually benefit from discussion, get other people’s perspectives. Remember to be realistic and focused on what really happens. In a SWOT analysis you want to note issues under the four headings. If you are new to the process the following questions may be helpful prompts to your thinking. Strengths: What are your personal strengths? What does the company do well? What do you do well? What is the good track record? What do other people see as your strengths? Where does the organisation compete well? Weaknesses: What can be developed What could you improve? ...turning. As I proceeded to step out the vehicle, I could hear the screams of terror and excitement. Each year my family takes a trip outside of my hometown of Detroit, MI and this particular year we decided to go to Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio. My favorite part of the trip was finally riding my first roller coaster. The name of the ride was the Iron Dragon. It is not that big but then it looked really huge to me. It is Orange and Red with Black and Green riding cars. It has hills, twists and turns that terrified me at first glance. I cried the first time as I was getting on, but I was so scared that the operators let me off. Later on in the day, I finally rode it and I felt accomplished that I had finally done so. After riding, I ordered an elephant ear. The hypnotizing smell of freshly cooked dough combined with the essence of sugar and cinnamon made my mouth water. The aroma reminded me of when my mom used to make fresh cinnamon rolls for breakfast in the mornings. As the sugar and cinnamon stuck to my fingers, it felt like sand on my tongue because it was so ridged. I savored every bite of the tasty treat and even saved some for the ride home. The park is very big, which means there are always a lot of people there. I did not get to get on all the rides that I wanted to because it was so crowded. I had some chili cheese fries and they were good. The down side to it was that the food was very expensive and they give you very small portions. They had a lot...

...Nicie Sharae Moten Sports in Society Coach Mohr Tues. 7-9:50 pm My Life in Sports My sports life began when I was just a little girl. My parents, well mainly my dad, would put me into different classes to play sports. As I grew up, my two older brothers, Raymond and Timothy Moten that played football and basketball. I would never be in the house because I would be with them playing outside. I would play along with them till I couldn’t keep up anymore. Tim would always make me play with him so I can be good and have fun. I recall almost every weekend playing basketball in the street with our close neighbor Chris. While me attending middle school, at Nazarene Christian School, he went to John Glenn High School with my brother Tim. After Chris moved out of state, I would hardly be out in the streets interacting with other neighbors and friends like most kids. I attended Nazarene since second grade. At that private school, the lowest grade you could be in to play sports was fourth grade. While attending there, I played volleyball and basketball. I was really good and enjoyed basketball more than volleyball. I became a better player as I grew up. I continued to do both sports all the way up in to high school. While attending John Glenn High School in Norwalk, Ca, as a freshman I tried out for the freshman and sophomore team. When I was playing, I was the middle blocker. It was a huge difference from middle school but I enjoyed my season. Our team was better than the varsity...

...Bottom of Form Email Sent! You have successfully emailed the post. Green Banking For Small Businesses Tim Chen, NerdWallet | Sep. 6, 2011, 9:07 PM | 635 | In an increasingly eco-conscious market, many small businesses are finding creative ways to go green. Whether it’s improving their energy efficiency, buying organic products, composting or just turning off electronics at night, being green means all sorts of things to different people. One small thing you may not have considered is green banking. Most banks have at least one green initiative in place (or claim to), and a few have made the extra effort to distinguish themselves as green businesses. But what does “green banking” mean exactly? Depending on whom you ask, it’s a marketing term, a social philosophy, an investment strategy, and everything in between. However, if you’re an entrepreneur, you probably want to know if it makes sense on a business level. The answer is yes! You’ll save money, you’ll help the planet, and if you’re already running a green business, it’s a great next step. That said, if you’re serious about getting a greener banking experience, you’re going to have to look at facts, not fluff. What is your bank really doing to be more environmentally friendly? Have they cut back on their paper and energy use? Do they invest in sustainable or green businesses? Do they give back to the local community in any way, or give money to charity? You don’t need to do that much digging to get some...
