Introduction/Background
Issue 1: The following is a case analysis about showcasing how Fresno State uses technology to increase student success and also show the community the technological advances at Fresno State. The challenge is showing the faculty and students at Fresno State a new way of learning and and beginning a “culture of technology” where the innovative use of technology is valued and supported. Technology has been around for quite sometime now, but still is undervalued in the school system (State and Community college levels). It is invading every area of our personal and professional lives. CSU Fresno currently faces a technological challenge. The publicity that Fresno State currently gets is not enough for both the community …show more content…
We, as a community and university, should be able to provide these professors with the motivation to learn about technology because Fresno State is going to grow with the use of technology. Some professors are reluctant to learn about technology since they are older or even old-fashioned, but that doesn’t mean they don’t want to learn new things. Almost everybody wants to learn about the new things that comes out (new technology trend). This case should help raise technology initiative around Fresno State’s non-technological professors by making them aware of how technology can be beneficial for them.
Issue 1 Alternatives
Interactive Workshops at Fresno State and Various Locations.
With interactive workshops at Fresno State, which would be held in the Summer and Winter breaks, students and the community will be able to attend the workshops to get familiar with the technology being used at Fresno State inside the classrooms.
Similar classes to Management 110 (Virtual) to enhance the technology used at Fresno …show more content…
Fresno State can release technology to professors that are not yet acquainted with these technological advances in the summer, for which they have enough time to learn the technology before the next new semester school year starts. (Carey, 2013) This can be from running an e-discovery course consisting of an iPad to learning new creative and easy software over the summer.
Training and support from other faculty with experience.
Professors do not like to be rushed into learning technology from an expert. A better approach is to bring other faculties who have dealt with the same problems. This might bring professors with little technological knowledge together and talk about how they can implement a creative new way to teaching their students with what other technological faculty have done in the past (Stansbury, 2011).
Help those professors who aren’t aware of

Since Zipcar provides the cars in areas close to the customer, this service would be easy to use.
