...Difference between QA and QC As we've talked in a previous post about the Definition of Quality, with these 2 terms exist the same “issue” where every single person/organization defines Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) in a bit different way. Also, many people including HHRR (Human Resources) and quality professionals do not know what QA and QC really means, and what the difference is between both terms. For those reasons, these concepts are often used interchangeably, and in some organizations one department performs the activities of both. The truth is that both terms have strong interdependence; QA relies mostly on the QC feedback and both work to deliver good quality products/services; but they are different processes. Next table shows the differences between them. QA vs. QC Definition from ASQ.org Assurance: The act of giving confidence, the state of being certain or the act of making certain. QA: The planned and systematic activities implemented in a quality system so that quality requirements for a product or service will be fulfilled. ...Boeing Australia Limited Executive Summary My decision is to continue on the same course that Boeing Australia Limited (BAL) is on. I feel, after reading this case study that BAL has been on the correct path with regard to building their systems architecture. There is a need for a more sophisticated procurement process and the issue of a procurement application may be easily found. The key is the process by which BAL has implemented all other IT applications, they have been very successful. They are thorough and have processes in place to rationalize whether a new by-in application or an in-house developed program would be best. My thought is that at least one, if not more; of the current systems have an appropriate off the shelf application that would work for BAL’s procurement needs. Further investigation through the Materials Management Process Council should reveal an appropriate tool for BAL to use. In this case study I will outline the reasons for my decision and some of the potential cost savings involved. Statement of Issues The main issue of this case is to buy a new e-procurement application or to continue to wait for the best case scenario application to come along. It is an important decision that affects many aspects of the business. The potential to lose a client or a critical supplier is possible during this process. Without truth and transparency, it is difficult to pass laws, provide equal rights, offer support and help for all. We need to have an environment which encourages truth, tolerance, and respect for all. Are there only two genders or is there a third gender?Regardless of which side of the issue you are on, we can all agree thattruth is always the right option and secrecy and lying have no place for a long-term solution in a civilized society. There are several issues withsecrecy and lying. First it is wrong. Second it does not take into account the feelings and trauma of the person being lied to. Third it could lead to criminal acts such as if lying is a crime under oath. What are the bioethics for disclosure to spouses? It is NOT about gender identity or it is NOT about the sexual identity, it is about the HUMAN identity which is to say the truth.
