RE: Managing a Successful Team

For any successful manager, he or she must fully understand his or her own team members. The team leader must treat and lead every member of his or her own team differently to ensure that the work is done efficiently, correctly, and the best possible method. Once the team leader has been able to determine each member’s personality, he or she must start by analyzing each type and prepare how they can be lead.
INTP
The first member of the team was scored as INTP. This setting shows that this person is more introverted and intuitive. This type of personality can be considered extremely helpful in solving complex problems and can thrive when using unorthodox traditions in solving those problems. These types of people work best with small groups or independently. This type of person in the team would be the person that would operate in the back and say very little. This can be effective during brainstorming sessions to find new solutions to problems. Leading this type of person will require minimal supervision and let work on the independent projects that will greatly assist the team.
INFJ
The second member of the team was scored as INFJ. This setting shows this person as creative and also introverted. This type of personality can be seen as the type to help teammates with solutions. These types of personalities can gain the most from environments that are industrious, and have the ability to work in organized environments. This type of person in the team can be very beneficial in the team during the hard moments in the project and greatly assist in the refining portions of the brainstorming sessions. Leading this person will require some coaching, however, is often expected to meet deadlines.
ESTJ
This type of personality is extroverted, and practical. They are hardworking, like to be logical about the completion of events and tasks, and make good leaders themselves. They are conventional and work well with orders and standards being met. Leading this type of personality can be difficult if the leadership is seen as unorganized or with a lack of set expectations. When leading this personality, the leader must coach and guide this person and give them clear, concise orders and set the person up with clear expectations of what the leader wants to have accomplished.
ENFP
This type of personality is enthusiastic, with a creative mind. This personality is curious and determined to figure out how people work. This person will be the most helpful during the long haul when the stress and pressure are at their highest. This type of person can easily be bored and will often need change during project to keep focused. Leading this person can benefit others with their own enthusiasm. Allowing this person to choose their roles and serve as the leader within the group can be beneficial to the entire team and the leader of the team.
Conclusion
Leading a team as diverse this team can pose challenges to the leader of the team. He or she must be able to adapt quickly to each person with each situation. The leader will be looked upon during the difficult times of the projects and will seek advice and mentorship during many moments. While this team is diverse, the balance between introverts and extroverts will make the team operate smoothly and a strong leader will be able to easily identify with each member of the team.
