It is very easy too agree with the authorities when they must interfere in situations where aboriginal children are not treated well - even though it can be difficult to find out when a child is, or is not, being treated badly, when they live in such different ways than ourselves. It is a wish to give them the white man's religion, language, culture, etc. But we could ask ourselves why the children are being neglected and even abandoned. Is it lack of love or could it be the mental state of the parents?
The major point in this matter, including in the motivation of the Aborigines Protecting Amending Act, is to protect the aboriginals from extinction.
The next point in this matter is very thought-provoking. How these motivations about removing the aboriginals children, could be written and accepted in the of 1970. This is racism, and it is very shocking. You cannot force a culture upon anyone.
Margaret Furber was, at the age of eight, removed from her aboriginal family. She was now living with a white family, and was to adopt their language and their culture. Even though Margaret Furber sounds convincingly positive about her situation, it is an act that screams against all instincts. She, as one of many others, was given this opportunity to get an education, a career and a life she would not have had if she had not been removed from her childhood family. The life in a nuclear family, which is the ideal of the modern society. The life of Margaret Furber would have develop into a completely different situation, if she had not been removed. She might have lived a successful life in the aboriginal culture. If Margaret Furber had not been removed at such an early age, she would not be able to say this without the ability to see the dream of a aboriginal lifestyle from the outside – in a different perspective.
The story could have looked utterly different. Because

Promotion Techniques

...will continue to have an effect of traditional retailing and our society moves through the electronic age. The development of the global marketplace and its ability to quickly reach customers has expanded the shopping experience and will likely shove traditional retailing the side, but not kill it altogether. For many consumers, the ability to touch and feel a product in their hand will always be one that they enjoy, thus traditional retailing will likely never completely die. The advantages of e- retailing to the consumer are the ability to access the store 24/7, less time involved with travel, parking, possibly having to tote the children with you and dealing with crowds of other people. More products are usually available online, as well as lower prices. The consumer will also have the ability shop around from different retailers to find the best price, which again refers back to spending less time. The downsides are that you are relying on the marketer to provide a secure transaction; exact colors might not be replicated; and it does not provide the theatrical ambiance of a brick and mortar store. Additionally for the traditional retailers that have developed their business to include e- retailing, business models are only now starting to emerge. They’ve had to change how they do business, adjust their logistics, adjust their business practices to comply with new laws that regulate the electronic marketplace and deal with massive security issues on an ongoing basis. Customers...

...continually validate answers to the enduring questions of life through a process of change, which simultaneously highlights Christianity as a living tradition.  Sacred texts and writings are materials that are held significant by a religion as they contain key information that explains how people are connected to the supernatural dimension (Coleman, 2006). The significance of the sacred texts of Christianity is necessarily their ability to timelessly connect the adherent to the divinity of Christ, through which enduring life questions are answered allowing their contents to be expressed and lived differently (Our Lady of Mercy College, 2014). The Bible is given fundamental centrality in Christianity, as the supreme scared text, and it is an essential guide for the Christian adherent to model their life on the ministry of Christ. Christ’s golden commandment, embodied within the verse, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with your soul and with all your mind” and “Love your neighbour as yourself” (Matthew 22:36-40) instruct the adherent to adjust positively in the face of controversy. In fulfilment of the Kingdom of God on earth, with fidelity to the verse, ‘seek first God’s kingdom and his righteousness’ (Matthew 6:33), the adherent is able to understand an enduring question of life, ‘what...

Flexable Budget

...Acc/543 Managerial Accounting and Legal Aspects of Business Course Instructor: Professor Squirrel Flexible Budgets Introduction The flexible budget is useful for cash forecasting because it is based upon the estimation of a variety of activity volumes. The usefulness of a flexible budget is founded in the ability to compare potential level of performance to the expected level. It is also a better representation of the actual fluctuations that occur in the volume of activity as it is influenced by fixed and variable costs. In comparison, a static budget is based upon the planned volume of activity and remains unchanged by actual changes in the volume of activity. There is value in both types of budgets because they are used together to present information that can be used for evaluating performance levels and for planning future activity requirements. Flexible Budgets A flexible budget is a budget with figures that are based on actual output. It's then compared to a company's static budget to get variances (differences) between what level of spending was expected and what actually occurred. Accordingly, a flexible budget is a budget that adjusts or flexes for changes in the volume of activity. The flexible budget is more sophisticated and useful than a static budget, which remains at one amount regardless of the volume of activity. With a flexible budget, budgeted dollar values (i.e. costs or selling prices) are multiplied by actual units to determine...

...HEARING AID SELECTION Hearing aids: How to choose the right one Many types of hearing aids exist. So which is best for you? Find out what to consider when choosing a hearing aid.By Mayo Clinic Staff Perhaps you've thought about getting a hearing aid, but you're worried about how it will look and wonder whether it will really help. Knowing more about the hearing aid options available to you, what to look for when buying a hearing aid and how to break it in may help alleviate some of your concerns. Hearing aid styles All hearing aids contain the same parts to carry sound from the environment into your ear. However, hearing aids do come in a number of styles, which differ in size and the way they're placed in your ear. Some are small enough to fit inside your ear canal, making them almost invisible. Others fit partially in your ear canal. Generally, the smaller a hearing aid is, the less powerful it is, the shorter its battery life and the more it'll cost. The following are common hearing aid styles. Completely in the canal Completely-in-the-canal hearing aids are molded to fit inside your ear canal and can improve mild to moderate hearing loss in adults. A completely-in-the-canal hearing aid: * Is the least noticeable in the ear * Is less likely to pick up wind noise because the ear protects the instrument * Is easy to use with the telephone in most cases * Uses smaller batteries, which typically don't last as long as larger batteries * Doesn't contain...
