The Things in Life Make Us Who We Are Everyone has had a day to day struggle, but the things in life make us who we are. We, the people, should use our experiences as lessons learned. First, we shall overcome any hurdles put in our paths. On the other hand, I look at my life as motivation, to strive to become the best person I can be. Finally, the things in my life: the struggles, my outlook, and the future are only shaping me into that impeccable person I am becoming.
Every person has gone through adversity. Initally, it is up to you to determine your fate. Next, overcoming being out on my own at the age of eighteen was my biggest challenge. It is like I went from being a child to having to grow up overnight. Then, I had to learn to fend for myself and learn to be strong and independent. After all, I had already become a mother. I had my first child coming right out of high school, and I was a hard head. Again, the things in life make us who we are. I had a responsibility now. All in all, I had had ups and downs as a single mother when it came to jobs and housing to support my family. I had no one to run to or confide in, all I had were my babies and myself. I had to learn to do what it takes. I overcame many challenges that a normal teenager would yet to see.
My whole outlook on life changed maybe just a year ago. As well, from the relationships to family, it made me want to work even harder. I had a family and past friend who wanted to see me fail, that is when I took a stance. Next, I had too much negative energy around me. They made me out to believe that life was about partying, and having fun, not the case. In addition, I have learned that you work hard before you play hard. Meanwhile, I feel like I have grown spiritually. I am not who I used to be. I have put God first in my life,

Relationships

...Relationships Chapter 6 You may be a parent who has reared your children and they are all grown up. What do you do when your child or children will not respect you and they make a disconnection from you in their adult life? Pray to God for wisdom and the understanding about the situation. God will help deliver you through it all. Parents must not have any regrets, because certain challenges will enter into your children’s lives. There may be several disappointments that will happen, along the way. Parents must not live their lives in disgust, when they want the best for their children and do not see the positive results within their lives, at the moment. Put all of your trust in Christ and know that he will direct and guide your children’s lives, according to God’s purposes or great pleasures for their lives. Parents should help their children in any way that is possible. When children get into any trouble, the parents must try to be there to help their child. If some of the children have repeated behaviors or offenses, parents should assess the situation and pray to God for his help with their issues. Some adult children should be allowed to make certain decisions in life, but they should all be held accountable for their actions and accept some reasonable consequences for their actions or defiant behaviors. During the times of trouble, rebellion, hardships, and trials with the children, the parents should never lose any love for their children. Parents should refuse to...

Nothing Really

...Everyone makes mistakes, whether big or small. That’s why no one’s perfect. We all learn from something – by observing, listening, asking. Sometimes, we learn from others’s mistakes. But other times, we find ourselves confronted with the consequences brought about by our own mistakes. Whether done intentionally or unintentionally, mistakes are mistakes. And as we are human beings, we have no power to press rewind and do things over. It’s done, it’s there, we have to deal with it – that’s life. I would like to thank you because : For the new experiences and adventures we gained from traveling For the stories we shared simply because we needed someone to talk to, For the mistakes we made that got us into trouble but made us closer, For the disagreements that helped us accept each other for who we really are, For the laughter and smiles we shared, For the times we helped each other out, For the nights we watched movies or series together, For the pictures we took together… The past will always be a part of our lives we can’t control. It’s done. Whatever happened, happened. Whoever came and stayed, stayed; and the others, well maybe they just weren’t meant to make it to the present. But who knows about the future, right? I’ve realized not too long ago that I’ve been trapping myself in the past, comparing whatever happens to what already happened. And by doing so, I’ve unconsciously been restricting myself of enjoying what I have now. The habit to compare the past...

Life Is a Journey Given by God

...I believe in God. I believe God will be with us through everything that happens to us and he will always be right next to you wherever you are. I believe God loves us unconditionally and will give us hope, love, grace, peace, and acceptance. I believe that he will forgive us for any wrong we have done because of his unconditional for us. I believe God will provide us with what we need. I believe that God has a good meaning for everything that happens to us. I believe life is a journey. The long road makes us wiser, the wrong turns make us stronger, and the unexpected bumps bring us awareness. I believe that life is a great gift from God. I believe you should value and respect life. I believe God gave us life so that we can live the life he gave us to the fullest. I believe we are all special in our own ways and that if we combine all our talents and gifts we can make a better world to live in. I believe that we can all make a difference, even if were just a kid, if we put our hearts and minds to it. One quote that really inspired me is written by a girl who is my age, 14, named Abby Miller. This is what she says, "I'm just a person, a kid, there's not much I can do because I'm just a drop in a sea full of people, but every drop added can start a ripple which can start a wave of change. No matter what the outcome is we will always be that drop that starts that ripple that creates that wave that will reach so many people beyond our vision, so what's a better time than now to...

It may not be evident to anyone, a silent battle being fought within our minds. Or it could be clear to everyone, like moving to a new place. Journeys take many forms. Good forms such as when we’re young and we learn to tie our shoelaces, a life skill that we end up dependant on. Or bad forms, somewhere along the lines we may fall ill to a life threatening disease like cancer. Sometimes our Journeys can cause us pain and heartbreak, but those are the things that help us make decisions and move forward, our journeys make us who we are. As soon as we are born we begin our journey. We’re thrust into life without knowing anything but are eventually taught the life skills we need. We are taught how to walk, talk and make the right choices, all very important aspects within our lives. In turn the skills we are taught help us move forward meaning we can learn new things. These new skills help shape the decisions we choose to make. If we didn’t have these skills moving forward would be difficult. Our physical journeys would be a struggle if we weren’t able to talk and our emotional ones would be unhappy if we weren’t able to communicate. Christ: Model of Today's Youth

...Background of the Study As we all know Christ Himself is the creator who made everything in heaven and earth. Jesus might have selected anyone in the world to follow Him. Yet again, He called common men: fishermen, businessmen, plain folks but the very first we notice about Jesus in that He was “one of us”. He loved children and they returned His affections. When some of Jesus’ followers tried to restrain the youngsters from clustering around Him, our Lord said “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” (Matthew 19:14 NIV) Every one of us knows Jesus Christ but did you know that Christ is the model of Today’s Youth? Without any doubt He is the unique personality of all time a man who changed the course of history so dramatically that almost nothing is untouched by his influence. In almost every country in this world, the front page of every single newspaper acknowledges Him. That’s because every date is marked from His birth more than two thousand years ago. The life Jesus led, the miracles He performed the words He spoke, His death on the cross, His resurrection, His ascent into heaven these all point to the fact that He was not merely a man but more that a man. Yet the very power of His name was destined to overthrow the most widespread. So we know that Christ’s sacrifice all the things to save our life. That’s great had done God to all of us that serve as model in each of us. Statement of the Problem ...

Life Is a Camera

...Life is a Photographic Telescope (Also known as a camera) The obstacles we go through in life directly affect who we become by providing us with memories to last a lifetime. We all lead different lives, and we all make different decisions, thus we all have different moments that we’ve captured to look back on. The metaphor “life is a camera” describes how everyone has different perspectives on life. The things we experience and how we react to them directly influence the people we will become. Like a camera, we can focus on what’s important, capture moments, develop from negatives, and take another shot when things go wrong. So power up, pick a moment and seize it. Your life is passing by. What are you going to do with it? First, take a step back and focus in on what’s important. Don’t be misguided by the loads of junk nearby. In life you have to appreciate the beautiful things you’re given. It’s easy to dwell on the long lines, and the mean things people say about you, but by crumbling under the despair of what others think of you is a telltale sign that you’ve forgotten what is actually worth worrying about. The opinion of those who are actually important to you, those who hold a special place inside you, those are the people whose opinions matter. Don’t lose yourself to the hogwash of everyday life. You’re alive. So be grateful. Life is filled with flaws, and you will probably never be put in an ideal situation. Deal with it. If you’re searching for your perfect ending...

...devote our time to the things that matter most. Our first counsel is given to us in the eighth chapter of Preach My Gospel and it addresses the goals in our life. Goals reflect the desires of our hearts and our vision of what we can accomplish. Through goals and plans, our hopes are transformed into action. Goal setting and planning are acts of faith. Prayerfully set goals that are in harmony with the Savior’s commandments. You may also set goals for your personal development. Do everything within your power to achieve your goals while respecting the agency of others. The ultimate measure of success is not in achieving goals alone but in the service you render and the progress of others. Goals are a means of helping you bring about much good among Heavenly Father’s children. They are not to be used to receive recognition. Carefully considered goals will give you clear direction and will help you fill your days with activities that help people. Challenging goals will help you work effectively and lead you to stretch and grow. What kind of goals are we setting? We are given a few guidelines that would be helpful to follow as you set your goals: 1. Follow the Spirit 2. Be specific and realistic, but set goals that will make you stretch. You want your goals to be challenging enough to make you grow but are they unreachable? 3. Set weekly and daily goals. Not all goals have to be long term! Elder M. ...300 SECRETS 1. A life is a terrible thing to waste. So easy to beat yourself up over mistakes you've made. So many amongst us live in the past rather than loving the present and building a brilliant future. First of all, no one tries to fail or mess things up. Every one of us wakes up in the morning, walks out into the world and does the best we can do based on what we know and the skills we have. But even more importantly, every so-called "mistake' is actually a rich source of learning. An opportunity to build more awareness and understanding and gain precious experience. Just maybe what we could call failures are actually growth lessons in wolf's clothing. And just maybe the person who experiences the most, wins. 2. A world-class company puts systems in place to ensure consistency of results. If you want to get something done and if you want to see consistent results, build a system around it. Celebrate the previous days wins and then rededicate to work for the mission. Systems‛ thinking builds structures into your life so that your best practices actually get integrated into your life. Systems allow you to live in a proactive rather than in a reactive way. And having a bunch of systems in place to keep you at your best doesn't mean that your life will be overly structured and full of stress Because nothing deprives a human being of happiness as much as seeing a life being wasted. 3. Facts of Effects?

...resemblance between us, the answer lies behind the scenes, behind what we all try to forget and to hide with our masks. We are addicted! Every single one of us. We overuse addiction in order to make ourselves feel better when in fact, we all are faking what we are and we are turning into individuals who cannot think for themselves and cannot be what they really are without the help of other things. Even if initially the term addiction was used to define people who used to take drugs or other substances in order to feel better, to be what they wanted to be and to illustrate another universe where they could live their lives the way they wanted, the signification of this word has crossed the border and has turned into a disease we all face at the moment. Although the main forms of addiction are caused by drugs, alcohol, narcotics, cigarettes, we are facing other addictions that we may not be aware of. To begin with, we have to open our eyes and see what the world is really like. Open your eyes wide. What do you see? You see what others make you see. Why? Because the media is controlling and manipulation us and makes us see a different reality. Try to have a conversation with a random person from the street. Wait! You may want to ask for his id messenger or you may want to see the Facebook profile. Give the children a toy. Watch them play. Surprise again! They are throwing it away because they want to play on the computer. Try team work. This is another thing you cannot see nowadays...
