Introduction

In this assignment I will monitor three physical resources in classrooms which I am in, I will monitor these resources over a three week period. The three resources I have chosen to talk about are: smart boards, lights and air conditioning. I have monitored whether these resources have been working over the last three weeks and I have interpreted this data into three tables. Each tables represents a week at the table is set out so the date can be seen as well as the rooms I have monitored.

The three tables above show that all three of the physical resources within the chosen classrooms have remained in the same working order over the last three weeks. For example, in the first week the air conditioning in room WD102 was not working, in the third week too it still was not working as it had not been repaired. The responsibility of repairing the air conditioning in the classroom falls on the estates department at Wakefield College but it still has not been repaired. The air conditioning in all of the other classes is in full working order and this has been the case for the last three weeks.

I monitored the physical resources in four rooms and in all four of these rooms the smart board had stayed the same. The smart board was in good working order throughout the entire three weeks, the smart board is a really important physical resource for the college as it is used by teachers to project work and information about assignments to their students, a benefit of having smart boards in classrooms is that the information can be given to a large number of people at the same time, this is helpful because then the teacher will not have to go around one by one explaining to the students. There is one smart board in each of the classrooms I have talked about and they have remained in full working order over the last three weeks.

Another one of the physical resources I talked about was is the lights in the four classrooms, all of the lights in these four classrooms remained the same over the last three weeks. All of the lights still work and have been working for the last three weeks, this is good because if the classrooms were too dark and the lights didn't work then students wouldn't have been able to concentrate. Because the lights remained in full working order over the last three weeks, students were able to concentrate fully in lesson and they were comfortable in their classroom.
