I have been a cadet teacher since August and I have loved it! I have learned so many things and still learning. Each day I perform different tasks or I do the same routine. Some days I grade papers, pass back papers, work with students individually, or run errands. Throughout this experience, I have become better with children and understanding them as an individual. My plans after high school are to attend ISU and major in Elementary Education. I want to be an elementary teacher. With being a cadet teacher I am able to apply the tasks I have done in my career path. Grading papers now will make it become easier as I progress in college in my degree. Working with students and communicating with them helps develop a relationship and better

...Cadet Corps The organization that I will be using is the Bill E. Young, Jr. Middle School Cadet Corps. This organization goes in the improving American society by motivating kids from grade 6-8th that is having difficulty with academics. This program not only helps improve their academics but it also improves their ability with socializing by communicating with their classmates by starting off with the kids in the program. The Cadets learn four attributes while in the cadet corps which is Loyalty, Integrity, Duty, and Selfless- Service. Young, Jr. Middle School in Calipatira and has been going on since then. The Cadets meet at the last period of class in their school time which consists of 7 periods. There are currently 30 cadets in the program. During the year they will have extra help in learning the U.S. Constitution, Current affairs, Economics, and Physical Education. I am also the 2IC, second-in-command, of Mustang flight and an active member of our squadron’s ground school. I joined Air Cadets with a few goals; one of which was to live out my dream of flying and get my glider and pilot licenses hence why I am applying for this scholarship. I strongly believe that I have the work ethic, attitude, determination and dedication that are required to be successful at the Regional Gliding School in Gimli this year. At my squadron, I always attend extra cadet activities like sports nights, bush exercises, leadership and aviation weekends, glider familiarization days and most importantly ground school on Monday nights. Not only do I have an excellent attendance record but I also have a positive attitude towards the cadet program as well as everyone that is a part of it; I am also very respected by my peers. In recent years as a cadet, I have had the privilege to attend three different summer cadet camps.
