Ali Ahmad Ahmad Ali, a distinguished professional because of his skills and expertise in the Spearmens Limited; a multinational electronics company having its offices in three major cities of Pakistan, Lahore Islamabad and Karachi, has been offered to for a managerial position in the company as Service In charge in the Islamabad office. This career progression on one side gives Ali the opportunity to lie in the front ranks of the company at such an early stage of the career, on the other hand, outlines the problems and the situation he currently is while opting for this choice. Ali Ahmad has the expertise o excel in the company as he has been a focal point of company major Human capital approaches of training and development through different courses in Germany, US, Belgium and certain other national level workshops. Currently, Ali Ahmad is the only Angio-Specialist at the Spearmens. Ali, even though, coming from a rural background, has a passion for electronics, and the passion has driven him through different uneven circumstances, but his career at Spearmens is distinguishing. The current offer of the Service in charge at Islamabad office takes him into the managerial ranks, but on the other hand he has other considerations to make. The first one is the family status. Ali’s wife teaches at a university of Lahore and Ali has always encouraged her to pursue her goals. She has devoted considerable energy to her career in teaching. While all this time she has been staying at her parents’ home, she has been urging Ali to have their own home in Lahore. Ali, on the other hand is considered as a Super Engineer at the company, and has been extensively traveling. The company’s environment is yet another consideration which Ali has to make i.e. over the years he has been given several engineering assignment but no managerial assignment, so, if he accepts this offer, he fears that the his colleagues and his team mates would undermine his role as service in charge. Ali’s own personality, on the other hand is that of a risk-averse person, since he also fears that he might prove to be a good decision maker as management officer, that’s because he have heard that engineers don’t make good managers. So, if Ali is to b ranked on the competency based job analysis, then Ali fulfills the General competencies, such as physical, logical, he has the company’s background, and accustomed to the environment. The leadership qualities on the other hand lag behind as over the years he has not been assigned any managerial assignment. But rating him on his technical expertise, no one can undermine its abilities as an engineer, given its position in the company and the educational background he has.
Based on the information given and the facts of the case about Ali’s achievement for its suitability and the circumstances affecting his decision to accept or reject this offer. Ali has a distinguished background as a professional, and once accepted this job, he will ultimately learn about how to get the things done while staying in that capacity. As far as the family status and his wife are concerned, she has been staying at her parents’ home, and since she is at a stat of her career, she can opt for another job in Islamabad, or otherwise, staying in Lahore while Ali on his frequent business trips won’t make any difference to her. As for the Ali’s current colleagues who will be his subordinates in the next position, will adjust to Ali’s new role, as Ali is widely recognized as the Super engineer of the company and that his skills leave no doubt for his suitability for his position. The current offer made at such an early stage of the career, means a lot to Ali’s career in the future. Given Ali’s competencies and skills, he is a well-suited person for this job. If Ai doesn’t opt for this job now, he will have to work at the same position in the company, which, given the hierarchy of the company doesn’t lead to any other capacity but to a managerial role in the company. Spearmen has invested hugely in developing its human capital, and thus it cannot for Internal Resources. So, in the best interest of his organization, Ali should take his job as the Service in charge at the Islamabad office

The results were very alarming to the world. The study indicated that doctors, hospital administrators, and pharmacies were receiving kickbacks from the pharmaceutical industry for prescribing their drugs to patients. The case study concluded that participants had different levels of blame. For example, the study shows that four out of five doctors were receiving money from these companies. Still today the government of Pakistan turns a blind eye to this type of unethical behavior. Research found that doctors were prescribing unnecessary drugs to patients regardless of the medical outcome. The more medicine they prescribe, the more money they would receive from the pharmaceutical companies.
