As a sophomore, I was the S5 of JROTC. My job consisted of: taking pictures for JROTC, organizing pictures by events, decorating the JROTC trophy case, and informing Clayton Announcements and Harry Chambers of upcoming events. Currently, I am the S1 of Junior ROTC. I am in charge of personnel management which consists of storing cadet information, events, and competitions in JUMS, the Joint Unit Management System. I had previous experience helping Jazmin Kelly make certificates for the JROTC award ceremony. This year, I was the Master Of Ceremonies for the JROTC award ceremony. I participated in drill, raider, air rifle, color guards, and flag detail. I attended the JROTC Cadet Leadership Challenge at Fort Dix. I will continue to live by the Cadet Creed and Army Values. The Battalion Commander is in charge of everything in the battalion. They are responsible for all battalion activities and seeing that tasks are completed. They must supervise, provide guidance, and direct the Battalion Staff Officers, Company Commanders, and Battalion CSM in ensuring all activities and training are planned, coordinated and executed timely and efficiently. The BCO sets the standard and direction of the battalion, knows subordinates, and keeps them informed. They train the other classmates as a team.
