In researching this paper I found disagreements over how much of communication is nonverbal versus verbal. Sources agreed that the nonverbal percent of communication is higher than the verbal and most stated it was somewhere between 55% and 93% of the communication. Many senders and receivers are not even aware of their nonverbal communication even while it is occurring.
