The number one challenge that many organizations are facing right now is attracting and retaining good people. I know that people are the key to for a business to succeed. Without having good people working in a corporation the company cannot do many things. Good working people means the company will do well in anything they are doing.
The second challenge that my organization is facing right now is equalizing technological knowledge among their teams. I think that every company should have their employees trained and knowing how to operate every new machinery that is being used in the corporation, this way people will be more valuable for their knowledge. I see this happening in many organizations and I see it as a future threat. This is a big challenge for many organizations right now the equalizing of technological knowledge.
The third challenge that I see with organizations is aligning their teams to focus on innovation and growth. Often times there are a few people that are very excited and clear on the strategy and the growth. What needs to happen in order to move forward is a unified vision of all team members to the strategies moving forward. I call this “pocket performance.” There are pockets of people performing at the levels expected but there is not a unified or gathered aligned team focusing on moving forward.
These are the three biggest challenges and I would dare say threats to an organization’s future success. So here are three tips and solutions that I have worked with my clients over the years that continue to work and resolve and build growth from these

Challenges to Multinational Corporations in China

...Challenges to multinational corporations in China China has emerged as the world’s second largest economy. Meanwhile, foreign companies salivate at the chance to tap into China’s growing market. Therefore, the rise of globalization in China may posit several critical challenges to multinational corporations. Although miscommunication should be taken into account for foreign companies, human resources are required to change patterns and global business strategy is also possibly tackled in the international market. Cultural misunderstandings arising from miscommunication will frequently lead to the failure of commercial negotiations. Although there are an accelerative number of Chinese people highly proficient in English, it is uncommon to find someone who understands the subtleties of the language to navigate delicate business negotiations. For example, Heads of ETIG used to make a trip to China, but had several productive meetings and returned home with strong business prospects. According to Murphy, a former technical analyst for CNBC in an article titled “Intermarket Analysis”, communication between the foreign and Chinese companies goes smoothly at first, yet things start to break down as business issues get more complex (Murphy, 2004). It appears that what started as a promising prospect for both sides often breaks down due to miscommunication. In addition, western companies in China rate human resources as the massive challenge of doing business here. Chinese workers...

The Challenge for Multinational Corporations in China: Think Local, Act Global – a Summary

...The Challenge for Multinational Corporations in China: Think Local, Act Global – A Summary When multinational companies (MNCs) started to get entrance into the Chinese market, they were received with open arms. This includes them enjoying government privileges other local companies were not entitled to. The Chinese consumers also preferred goods from the MNCs, and not their local companies. This however, took a twist when in the year 2000, when the per capita GDP rose in the country to $1,000. The perception of the Chinese toward the MNCs changed further when China became a member of the World Trade Organization in 2001. Their earlier privileges were withdrawn, as even the Chinese started to embrace their local companies. Conditions ever since have become tight for the MNCs, as they are now expected to strictly adhere to the Chinese standards in their businesses. Although the MNC have positively contributed to the Chinese economy, much of their challenges lie within the framework of adapting to the local Chinese expectations in their business practice. For instance, it is important to be aware of the kind of advertisements to use, which cannot be considered offensive by the local Chinese people. Most MNCs have difficulty understanding the expectations the Chinese have of them, since the Chinese are sensitive people, with respect to moral integrity and social prestige. For the MNCs to survive in China, they must “think local and act global,” meaning they should conduct their...

Internal Control Paper

...(1) Currently, more than forty percent of Fortune Global 500 changed from United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS); in virtually 100 countries, 12,000 corporations have opted to follow IFRS. As this standard is becoming globally accepted, the United States has been compelled to cooperate with IFRS. To portray the challenges involved, one large United States company, Clark Corporation, will be explored. At the close of the 2010 financial year, Clark Corporation’s external auditors strongly recommended that they prepare its financial statements using IFRS by January 1, 2012. However, Clark Corporation will encounter various challenges in migrating from depreciating the building under GAAP to IFRS. The component depreciation method is defined as “a method of calculating depreciation where separate items of a building with different useful lives are depreciated on different schedules” (Financial Dictionary, 2011). Although there are many benefits of the IFRS depreciation method, there are also numerous challenges that Clark Corporation will face from the gaps between current accounting practices and the new reporting system. One internal control challenge in migrating from the U.S. GAAP depreciation method to the IFRS depreciation method is the incompatibility between the systems. There are various internal controls in the U.S. GAAP reporting system that must be altered for the new reporting system, IFRS...

...Financing Options for XYZ Corporation Nicole Byes FIN / 410 August 03, 2015 Ruth Smith As corporations anticipate growth and inventory increase over time their financial managers need to understand the need for inventory financing and inventory management (Block, Hirt, & Danielson, 2009). Looking at the long-term trend XYZ Corporation assets are likely to increase over time. The key to current asset planning is the ability of management to forecast sales accurately and match the production schedules with the sales forecast. "Financial forecasting is essential to the strategic growth of a business. The process of forecasting forces a business to consider seasonal and other effects on cash flow. In essence, financial forecasting allows the financial manger to anticipate events before they occur, specifically the need for raising funds externally (Block, Hirt, & Danielson, 2009). The financial manger's selection of external sources of funds to finance assets may be one of the firm's most important decisions. "The axiom that all current assets should be financed by current liabilities (accounts payables, bank loans, etc.) is subject to challenge when one sees the permanent buildup that can occur in current asset (Block, Hirt, & Danielson, 2009)". According to our resources, XYZ Corporation is experiencing an average collection period of 120 days. The industry average is about 75 days. The corporation has also experienced an increase in its business in the...
