Good Works
From the amount of projects presented on the website, we selected six different projects as the best works, which are:
第二屆/銀賞/乾 .淨
Reasons:

1. The designers found out a problem we had never solved. According to the wet environment of a bathroom, it leads to many bad effects. The effects not only threaten our safety but also our health. It is really considerate to produce a dehumidifier for bathroom.
2. The design is so multifunctional that it considers about all the need in a bathroom. So this makes it a dehumidifier, a mirror, a hanger and a light.
3. It has a great possibility to be produced because it does not have to replace any product we have right now. There's no similar product either. And we definitely need it to solve our problem.

第四屆/銅賞/後輪差指示燈
Reasons:

1. It is brilliant to use light to warn people from accidents. This product shows the specific area which is dangerous. This make people sure about which are the best way and the safest way to go.
2. This kind of accident has ruined many people's life; the design is good to both passengers-by and the driver.
3. Devil in the Details. However, it is hard for us to avoid accidents. This design shows us the boundary.

Win-Win 融合相對/金賞/SmartEXIT
Reasons:

1. Normal exit doors don’t warn people of what’s behind that door, and accidents happen. Using the LED system, you can quickly recognize if behind that door is safe or not.
2. Also it save you time to search for another door which is safe to run to.
3. With the wireless system, all emergency doors are connected: if one door detected fire, all of them quickly show that the place is not safe.

The system of SmartEXIT can be applied to those buildings that have a plan of evacuation in case of fire. As a suggestion, maybe besides doing only two parts for each side of the door, there should be one also for the hallways. In that case, people would know if the other side of the hallway is safe to run by just seeing the color; if is not safe, then there’s no need to run to the other door to see the sign at the top of the door.

Win-Win 融合相對/銀賞/ Balance Stick
Reasons:

One of the most used things by elderly people is the walking stick. But what happens if it falls down? Elderly people have to bend over in order to pick them up, hurting their waist and their column.
1. This product instead, won’t fall down. Also there’s no need to look for a place to hang it, because even if the person is not holding it, it will stand still.
2. Normal walking canes are flat at the end of the stick, making them slip when they walk on a sloping surface, but the Balance Stick is different because of his round shape, it has support on every point of it and it keeps the balance.

One suggestion might be to change the handle of the stick, because many people suffer from hand sweating. Make it with a material such as thin rubber plastics, like in the toothbrush, in order to avoid the cane slip from the senior’s hand.

第二屆 Cross-Link /銅賞/Luban Measuring Tape
Reasons:

1. The designer was very specific thought in general for ages and profession since is not complicated and anyone can use it.
2. Solved the problem giving an exact measure since every person sometimes ether cuts distance or don’t know exactly where the measure stops.
3. Looks nice clean and ethic, the color for the digits was a very smart.
4. It is also a personal use you don’t need the second person as the actual tape measures.
5. And fix the problem that the scroll back and forth action stimulate the internal ratchet with coil.

第二屆 Cross-Link/金賞/Crossing Wake X sleep
Reasons:
1. It is a very smart idea because helps many aspects of everyday life.
2. It helps you for traveling you won’t have to wear those headphones, or use the computer, ipad watch those movies in the airplane, you will be able to temporarily cut off from the outside world and have some rest.
3. It can be carried everywhere without been afraid of broking them.
4. Helps the elderly, the children and adults.
5. It is entertaining and calm has a very good combination.

Bad Works
From the amount of projects presented on the website, we’ve also selected six different projects as the worst works, which are:
第一屆/銅賞/i-USB
Reasons:
1. People already have their own USBs. It is quite inconvenient if the product cannot combine with their original ones.
2. There are only 1 or 2 USB that we need. Having 5 of them is too much.
3. It has not been considered that if the weight or length bothers while attaching to computers.
4. There is a doubt that if nowadays technology is able to make such a small USB with IN-side, OUT-side and enough memory.
5. The designers' idea says that it would be useful for people who work in a team. However, the USBs might be lost when using separately without case.

第五屆/銀賞/Pangolin
Reasons:

1. The design board does not show how people wear this structure. There is still a doubt that if the helmet can fix on one's head tight.
2. The size of the helmet still needs a big space to carry. It is still inconvenient to take it everywhere even if it's folded.

Turn 換位思考/佳作賞/Umbrella brush Reasons:
1. The middle pole is too long. It would be difficult and annoying to clean a dish using it.
2. It is faster to clean with a sponge than using this product.
3. If the material is a kind of metal, each time you are using it, it may take a different form and you have to move it in order to stay in the same position. If is not, then it won’t be stable at the time of using it.
4. Not every bowl has the same size.
5. If the strings are made of metal, it would be hard to use the umbrella system, because you would need to use force in order to fold the metal. 挑戰∞極限/ 佳作賞/ Handy Scale
Reasons:
1. The force you use in your fingers to grab will also affect on the weight. More force you add, more weight you have.
2. For some people, it is uncomfortable to wear gloves, especially while cooking.
3. It takes time to put the gloves on, and taking them off.
4. You can’t weight things such as flour, sugar or salt. It would slip away from your hands.
As our opinion, it would be better if you don’t have to wear gloves. Instead, create a product mixing a scale with a spoon, plate or a bowl, where the surface is stable enough to give the exact amount of weight.

第二屆 Cross-Link/銅賞/靓街景/ Interactive garbage can
Reasons:
1. The garbage can isn’t suitable to all kind of environments.
2. It will need a constant maintenance more than the usual garbage.
3. The holes for introducing the garbage are too small, and the tap should be more flexible so you wouldn’t have problem using garbage bags.
4. Also an electronic product for what it is, in this case the sound, would need a lot of protection since it can easily be broken.
5. As well the interactive garbage should have more functions farther than thank you.
第二屆 Cross-Link/佳作賞/饗味,調味罐組合
Reasons:
1. it’s not appropriate for all ages, being that a child can cause a disaster.
2. Also, the puzzle looks very complicated, to any different age.
3. As well, people often use these products as decorations, so it has to be more startling to calls people attention.
4. The small compartments will make the seasonings last less and often be refilled.
5. As for many people playing on the table is not respectful; it needs to function without making much noise.

Bad Bosses

...can’t seem to recognize a good leader from bad ones. A leader is generally defined as someone who inspires, rules or guides the work activites of others. A good boss creates clear focus on desired outcomes, properly equip their operations for high performance and above all build strong working relationships and foster teamwork. He creates a climate where employees receive ongoing feedback and coaching and they strive to maintain a work-life balance. Flexibility, understanding and the ability to listen to the employees makes up some of the important characteristics of a good boss. On the contrary, a leader who criticizes, belittles and disrespects his employees earns the label of a bad boss. A bad boss fails to give recognition for the little things his employee does. Such leaders not only make life miserable for their employees, but hamper organizational performance. No one starts out their career trying to be a horrible boss. Yet, it is amazing to see that a vast majority of the folk seem to accomplish this feat with absolutely no training. It is possible that a good leader turns into bad under difficult situations. This could be personal or professional. Ergo, the perception of whether a boss is considered good or bad, should be based on factors considering the psychological state of the boss and the outlook of the employees being supervised. It is believed that every person has had a bad boss at one time or another...

Communication and respect are important keys to any relationship, and the relationship between a boss and an employee is no exception. The Charateristics of a Good Boss as Opposed to a Bad Boss

...The Characteristics of a Good Boss as Opposed to a Bad Boss Stacy Giroux COM/155 February 13, 2014 Anne Cox The Characteristics of a Good Boss as Opposed to a Bad Boss In the property preservation field, having the characteristics of a good boss as opposed to a bad boss is very important to the success of the business. Property preservation is a tough field to be in for several reasons. First, the competition is high because, in this economy, there is a high demand for vendors to clean up the foreclosed properties for the banks. Second, there is a fine line between quality and quantity. This is because there are so many foreclosures that the need to get them done quickly is great, but the need to pay attention to detail is of equal value as these properties need to be in tip top condition and ready to hit the market within five days from the day a preservation company receives the first work order. Quality and quantity do not stop there. Once the house is on the market then the property preservation company is to maintain the yard weekly and the interior monthly. The maintenance list can grow very quickly, again making the line between quality and quantity a very fine line. Third, property preservation companies rely on their crews to do a majority of the work. If the crews are trained and their quality of work is up to standard, then everyone makes money, if not it can break a business. In the property preservation field, a good boss handles employee challenges...

Team Cohesion

...Implementer: This means that this character is well organised. This is a good thing because it means that they are able to keep track of what’s been done, what needs doing etc. They take very basic ideas, and they convert them into tasks. This is good because if there wasn’t someone like this, then the team would not have a high productivity because they wouldn’t know how to change ideas into actions. Sometimes they can be slower than others, this would be a problem in a fast paced activity. Shaper: This means that they have a lot of energy when doing a task. This is a good thing because it makes other people in the team want to move forward and to do well. This means that the task will be done quicker as more people will be getting involved with the task. They can sometimes be insensitive. This means that they show or feel no concern for other people’s feelings. This is a bad thing because people in the team could get offended by a comment and it could cause friction in the group. Completer/Finisher: This means that they always see things through to the end of the task. They make sure that everything is working well and making sure that everything’s right. This is a good thing because it means that if anything is going wrong, then they can identify it and make it right. A bad thing about this role, is that they can worry too much about the task and they may not trust other people in the team. This is bad because trust level will be low, and communication will not be high. Plant:...

Comparison of Leaders

...Comparison of Leadership: Good vs. Bad Alicia Perez Com/170 June 11, 2014 Charlotte Babb “Lead me, follow me, or get the hell out of my way” – General George S. Patton. In the military you are either a leader or a follower. That being said, as a leader you can fall under two different categories; good or bad. A good leader is ne who keeps a soldier informed, helps solve a soldier’s problems and motivates them. A bad leader is the opposite. Bad leaders don’t keep their soldiers in the loop, they don’t help their soldiers solve issues, and they drain them. Would you want someone who was there for you or would you want to feel alone? How you choose to lead your team is up to you, but remember how it was to be a soldier. Being a good leader takes dedication. As a leader you are in charge of more than just yourself. There is a plethora of important information that is put out daily in mission briefs and platoon meetings. As a leader is it your job to inform your soldiers of important hit times and meetings. You need to inform them of, where they are supposed to be, when they are supposed to be there, what gear they need to bring, and what uniform they need to be wearing. A soldier needs to know that they can approach you if they have a problem, and you will fix it. You are a soldier’s first line supervisor and their support system. If a soldier has a problem with their pay, they first come to their leader and ask for help. It is your duty to then pass that information...

People spend so much time and even money trying to break these bad habits, but have little success. Good and Bad Procrastination

...Good and Bad Procrastination Procrastination is one of the common worst habits to pick up as a human being. Most of the time people tell themselves that they have to get their work done. For some reason there’s a little part of our brains that tell us to wait and do it another time. Until its way too late and there’s not enough time to finish your task. Paul Graham wrote a selection about good and bad procrastination, and how procrastination can help you get your work done. Throughout most of the passage Paul Graham uses logos to persuade the reader that procrastination is a bad thing, but it can also be useful for finishing more important work. One example of logos used by Graham is when he writes, “Good procrastination is avoiding errands to do real work”. He then goes on to explain this idea that everyone throws off important work to run errands, so why not switch the cycle and throw off errands to get important work done. Graham then writes about how he uses his strategy and that it doesn’t always work. It’s better than bad procrastination which allows you to get no real work done and feel bad about it. I feel this could possibly work with others and really be effective with getting work done. Another example of logos used by Graham is when he writes about how this strategy works. He explains “If you want to work on big things, you seem to have to trick yourself into doing it”. He goes into detail by writing about how procrastinating is going to happen regardless...

Chocies in Your Entire Life

...Choices in your Entire Life Ladies and Gentlemen, Good day! At this moment, I want you to think deeply and assess yourself. What’s deep inside you? What are your expectations in the near future? We certainly know that we won’t stay here forever in this fourth corner of this room, someday or sometime we will see ourselves in the place or the position where we never expect. But do you believe that everyone in this world is responsible for who they are today. Their choices and ideas pave the road for their future. A quote from Confucius says this, "People's lives are the result of the choices they make-or fail to make. The path one takes in life is not arbitrary. Choices and their consequences determine the course of every person's life. All people, whatever their circumstances make the choices on which their lives depend. So, Confucius is absolutely right. It is a well-known fact that if you take wrong turns in life, you will end up in a wrong state. The regular human psychology states that when a person goes and ends up in a bad state, they blame others and most of the time never takes responsibility for it. Take a look at this scene, and listen carefully because this happens all the time no matter the circumstances. There is no way and it is impossible for a youngster who takes drugs, does alcohol, and doesn’t obey their parents to find themselves at an Ivy-League...
