...around to get milk and I turn around and his front feet are on the counter and he’s running away with my delicious cookie (with a glut of sugar in it. I guess it was good I didn’t get to eat it?) Anyways, I’ve had a productive day. Yesterday (Saturday), after sitting on my floor using my iPod and texting, going on social media, and playing mobile-phone games all day, I realized that - even though I could succumb to sitting on my floor doing nothing (which is a lot easier than doing something way more interesting) – actually doing something productive with my life makes me feel a lot better about myself. Now I like to switch back and forth from different times as I write. Like right now I can hear people playing softball at the school, each one of them vying for their team to win. And the fact that my dog stole my cookie has left me discombobulated and not being able to focus on a single sentence, as I long for that cookie, with its not-so-subtle sugary flavor. I even put blue food coloring on the dough so I could have a blue cookie and nope my dog ate it. Thanks jasper. He steals everything though. We’ve tried everything, but he still steals. He even sole one of those metal sponges! And not only does he steal everything (and I’m not lying, he steals everything), he eats it too! HE ATE A METAL, WIRE SPONGE. HOW DID THAT FEEL GOING DOWN HIS ESOPHOGAS. I BET NOT THAT GOOD. ANYWAYS, I FORGOT TO TURN CAPS LOCK OFF. And ‘off’ is such a weird word. It can be used in many ways, and...

...On October 12th 2016, me and my friend Kiana were at our friend Ashley house. We were hanging out at her house because she stayed home from school and we hadn't talked outside of school in person for a while. We did normal things like got pizza, watched SpongeBob, and Youtube. I'm talking to this senior named Tyler who we all go to school with. Tyler and Kiana text about me to each other because Tyler doesn't know what to say sometimes or needs advice. I told Kiana and Ashley I was going to the bathroom but I decided not to and they didn't realize. The couch they were on was in front of where I was standing. Kiana and him were texting and I could see right over her shoulder to the phone. She asked him, “When are you going to cuff Anthony?”...

...rational thought. People who are dominantly Green may see themselves as being rational and philosophical, inventive and curious, and above all else versatile in everything they do and work to improve. I personally see certain Green behaviors in just about every facet of my life. I like to think that I’m a person who tries to understand the deeper meaning in the things we do and the reasons we do them. I like to think that I’m flexible in how things are done and that I’m easily able to fix or adjust what truly needs fixing, and that I’m able to gradually adapt to new situations as they come. But not to the point where it alienates the people around me or that it feels like I’m changing something just for the sake of doing it. As the old saying goes, “If it’s not broke, then don’t fix it.” At first glance, Green may seem like a very beneficial personality color, but like everything else in life, there is always bad to come with the good. “Greens” can often be seen as being intolerant; especially in areas were incompetence with something is concerned. They can also be viewed as being arrogant, unappreciative of others, critical of others, and even just plain weird and unrealistic. I especially see those last two in myself, among other ones. However, I also see a lot of Blue and Gold in myself as well. Blue is known for being warm and compassionate, dramatic, empathetic, and idealistic personalities. In fact, I probably have just as many Blue behaviors...

...siblings on all the time. When the bus reached the last stop, I thought, last stop! Finally, now I can get that science test over with! A girl stepped onto the bus that i’ve seen around before, but never really talked to. She looked around the bus for seats, but none were open, so she started coming to me. No no no no! Turn into that seat! Don’t sit by me please! Nooooo! By now she was coming up next to me looking in my direction! Don’t you say it don’t you say it! “Can I sit here?” She asked flatly Oh come on! I thought bitterly. I sighed, picked up my backpack, scooted to the side, sat up, and rolled my eyes. After a little while I got bored staring at her play “Piano Keys” on her phone and decided to start up a conversation. “Hi, I’m Sophie.” I said casually. “ What’s your name?” “ Huh?” She looked up from her phone closing out of her tab. “ Oh, Allie.” “ Um Nice to meat you Allie.” I said with little enthusiasm.“Do you Like Minecraft?” I asked with a little hope, But totally out of the blue. She just frowned. I decided to shut my mouth. After a couple of minutes she randomly replied, “Yeah sure, why?” “What?” I stammered. “You asked earlier If I like Minecraft, why?” she said quietly. “Oh, just wondering.” I said quickly. “Actually I really want someone to have some of my likes and dislikes.” I admitted. I glanced over to her and she had the look on her face that said, me too. “Actually I build a LOT in Minecraft.” she said quietly. “ REALLY? ME TOO!” I Replied...

...multi tasking. She was eating a chocolate, chatting with her friends, and working on documentation for her next project at the same time. She was sitting alone in her office cubicle on a Sunday night. The cubicle had four computers in four corners. On weekdays rest of the three seats were occupied by three other software engineers. Nanda had some pending work, so she had to come on a weekend and except for a colleague of hers, Jack, the floor was deserted. Nanda had always hated Jack because of his arrogant and egotistical attitude. He really got on her nerves. Nanda finished her documentation. The time was 8:28 pm. She started checking her mailbox before she called it a day. There were a couple of unread mails but one caught her eyes. It was from an unknown sender with a red exclamation mark signifying importance. Nanda opened the mail a little unsure whether the thing carried some virus. The content of the mail was in little black letters. "Death is a game. Game chooses many random lives everyday. Today it has chosen you. If you don't get out of this cubicle in an hour , you will die. Find a way to get out and you will live. Time is now 8:32. The game starts, the moment you finish reading this. Best of luck" The moment Nanda read the mail, it got deleted automatically from her inbox. She knew it was a prank from Jack. She checked her watch, it was 8:32. She switched off the computer and got up from her seat. She took her bag and slid it across her shoulder. Just then...

...nice surprise. When I saw the pilot, I thought it had no business being as rock-solid as it was, but I wrote off the show's long-term prospects because I didn't think James Spader was enough to carry the show on a weekly basis, and the ongoing story about Red and Elizabeth seemed pretty obvious. However, after catching up on the series this past weekend and watching Monday's "General Ludd," I realized that I was only partially correct. Spader is mostly up to the challenge as The Blacklist's centerpiece, and the ongoing story is pretty obvious, but the show has done quite a bit of legwork to keep it compelling in the first eight weeks. Although it's likely that the plum post-Voice time period gives The Blacklist most of its ratings juice, I'm no longer shocked that it's the season's biggest hit. Here's why. 1. A good balance of procedural stories and ongoing mysteries I've had a few discussions with friends lately about what it means to be a broadcast drama in 2013. One of the takeaways has been that, more often than not, when people think of a broadcast drama, they tend to focus on shows that are almost exclusively procedural, relegating the obviously "great" examples like The Good Wife or Scandal to a small group of outliers that are more often compared to "great" cable shows. And while I love the kind of intense serialized stories those series can tell, shows like The Blacklist prove that the procedural-serial mix can thrive as well. While the show is generally driven by its...

...Let me be clear that the fact that men are visually drawn to women does not make it okay to engage in lustful looks. It is not a wise practice for any man who wants to protect his marriage, and in many cases it can be an issue of sin. Jesus said that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has committed adultery with her in his heart (Matthew 5:27-28). So while your husband is likely being honest when he says he has no intention of doing anything beyond looking, the act of looking can still be a problem, especially if he is replaying it in his mind later. Not only that, but in his situation he is not even trying to be discreet about it when you’re around, and that is cause for concern. If he freely looks when you are with him, how bold is he when you are not present? 1) Whenever we go anywhere, could be a reception, stores, etc ( basicly anywhere there are other people) he looks/stare at girls/women.. I have been married for 8 years and been talking to him about this ever since. I have asked him several times not to do it, that it bothers me. He says he likes to look, that everyone is different. The next time I caught him staring, I told him you can stare all you want when I am not there, just don't do it infront of me, .. I sometime ignore him but not all the time... it really hurts me.. For eg. we were doing grocery shopping the other day when he saw this girl and he looked/stare at her, its like she had a magnet on her body.. He couldn't help looking.. He is looking at...

...Actually, it does quit the opposite, metaphorically speaking. One can argue that passion and the overwhelming emotions that is provokes is what played a major role in the advancements humans have made throughout history. And if someone were to take a look at all of those who have become successful in their endeavors, they would find that what all of these people have in common is the driving force that is passion that somehow allows people to set out on a path to achieve their goals and face all the obstacles along the way. An instance of passion can be seen in Aimee Bender’s “The Girl in the Flammable Skirt,” a short story about a teenage girl’s strained relationship with her sick father. At quick glance the story is basically a collection of random, loosely connected events that also consists of ridiculous characters which might leave some to question its direction and the message it is trying to convey the readers. But if someone were to take a closer look at the story and take note of the symbolism Bender is using then they would be able to see how the story deals with passion and what it has to say about it. And despite the seemingly occurrences that take place in it, the story shows the effect of passion has on people and communicates that passion is a force that drives us and allows those with a strong desire and mind to realize and achieve the potential that lives within them. There many different obstacles that people may face in life and the main character’s obstacle...
