...In the Next Room deals with the sexuality of men and women alike; although it focuses on the sexuality of women as well as the female anatomy the most. It deals with the sexist ideas that any woman with heightened emotions or strong reactions to a situation suffer from “female hysteria”. For a long time “hysteria” was used as a blanket term used for all female emotions and strong male emotional responses, but that is not the only thing this play deals with. I believe this play deals with issues of science overstepping their bounds and invading personal life as well as how sex or the lack thereof effects relationships of all types. The play deals with many issues surrounding sexuality, gender, and anatomy, but after reading a review from The...

...What makes the Room sequence an unconventional ending for 2001: A Space Odyssey? The sequence starts with a point of view shot of David. It shows a corner of the room. In the room, an ambience sound is like from the universe. The next shot is an extreme close-up of David. Some colorful reflections of light fall on his face. David’s head shakes. His face is reddish with a tense expression. This shot has a warm tone. By contrast, the following shot has a cooler tone. It is a view of the bedroom with the dock station in it. This wide shot shows the mise-en-scene. The room design is classic European style. Then there are two more shots of different angles of the same scene. The next shot repeats the extreme close-up of David, which appears earlier. The David’s breath gets heavier. Then, it is cut to the shot that is shown at the very beginning of the Room sequence, but this time David himself stands beside the bathroom in red spacesuit. The red color is in a sharp contrast with the room color. Following that, the film is cut to medium shot of David, and then cut to close-up of David’s wrinkled face. Next is a wide shot that shows David crosses the room along a diagonal line. In the following shot, David walks in the bathroom, which does not show the continuity of the spacing. In other words, the editing does not follow the continuity of the character’s movement. Then, the camera pans from left to right in the bathroom. The camera angle is high, as if David looks down, to show...

...brighten up the room. Stein and Robert could agree that the moon is not entirely successful with it - but they would on the other hand do not have a lost lean to light the way for them, so they did not complain . There, they carefully walked across the cold floor so they know someone kept an eye on them . A black eye with a hard, cold eyes followed our two adventurers in every step they took , every movement they undertook . This was Stein and Robert mentioned blissfully unaware . Or , so very happy they were not where they nervous crept through the room , but it is an indisputable fact that they would have been much more nervous if they knew they were under someone's attention - and definitely if they knew who that someone was. Yes , I would go so far as to say that it probably would have been a gust down the back of anyone and everyone if they knew who the spy was, but I 'm not going to ruin your sleep to some by revealing his or her identity , let me just say that the clues are there, would anyone want to untangle the strings , so it is certainly possible. The next room is almost identical to the first - apart from a staircase leading up to the second niveau . You decide heroes to not go up, but rather continue on to the next room. The next room again has only one opening on ground level - the one they came through . Across the room, which has a dirty carpet placed right above the ground, is a staircase. Steps are quite similar to that in the previous room , but are located...

...My Room When walking through the door you have arrived at my home, the place where I eat, sleep, invite friends and just generally be. Before noticing any smell, decoration or furniture it is likely that you will be welcomed by my one year old pug. The first room where I spend most of my time, the living room and kitchen, is rectangular with sand colored tile and four white walls all naked except for a glass clock with black dots marking each hour. Still standing in the door, trying to zone out my pug which loves attention, you will see an ivory-white legged dining table with a jet-black glass top converted to my working desk and next to it a white stuffed chair with black legs. In the middle of the room is a black, leather clad sofa with an adjustable back. Although it looks flat and uncomfortable, sitting down you will feel it is soft enough to sleep on. In front of the sofa is a non-peculiar white coffee table, just big enough to house a couple of glasses, a book and some snacks. On the opposite side of the sofa is a flat-screen TV resting on one of those IKEA TV compartments, this one being brown colored and without doors. Sitting in the sofa, to your right, is a big basket made from rotting wood filled with books, mostly fictional crime or thrillers, a few months’ worth of Vanity Fairs and chargers to various devices in my belonging. After this, behind a glass wall and door is my kitchen. Looking straight ahead is the room’s only window, big and wide enough to light up the...

...so scared I could’ve peed in my pants. Upon reaching got to the horror house, the line was long enough to where it could be an excuse not to go, but my parents went on with it. The screams coming from the beginning alone were hair raising. Then, after an hour of waiting, it was my turn. Ahhh! I couldn’t tell what was making everyone scream, my eyes were shut, and when I reopened them, a big scary thing with bleeding eyes and a bloodcurdling roar was trying to escape from a straitjacket. At this point, I was crying, screaming, and doing whatever else a five year old in a horror house does. Up next, oh, I couldn’t tell, I was only five, but I do remember the maniac with a chainsaw. He was wearing one of those masks with the holes and his chainsaw sounded like it needed lubrication. That shriek made the hair stand on the back of my neck. The next room smelled like gunpowder. What room would...

...lofty wall girdled it in. This wall has gates of iron. The courtiers, having entered, brought furnaces and massy hammers and welded the bolts. They resolved to leave means neither ingress nor egress” (“Poe 516”). The abbey symbolizes the prince’s power. He has people thinking they’re keeping the “Red Death” outside but, in all reality they are trapped in. The abbey included seven rooms. The rooms were arranged from east to west. East is usually the direction associated with the “beginnings,” and birth, because the sunrises in the east; west (the direction of the sunset) is associated with the endings, and death. ( “Shmoop”). Each room was a different color. The first one was blue ending with the seventh room which was black. These colors symbolize the stages of life from birth to death. “The blue room, which is furthest to the east, represents birth. The Johnson 2 color suggests the "unknown" from which a human being comes into the world. The next room is purple, a combination of blue (birth) and red (associated with life, intensity) suggests the beginnings of growth. Green, the next color, suggests the "spring" of life (youth), orange the summer and...

...My Room As I sleepily stumble into my house at midnight there is only one place I want to be: my room. As I walk in I try to avoid the clothes thrown all over like landmines in a battlefield. My room is the closest resemblance to me, someone who loves sports and music. I flop onto my bed staring up at the ceiling light covered in baseballs and basketballs. In one of the corners of the ceiling there is an ugly yellow stain the size of a football from my once leaky roof. My room has changed little since I was younger. Everywhere I look I see something to do with sports, mostly the Red Sox. Two red pin strips wrap around my white walls. As I sit on my bed tucked away in the right corner, I catch myself staring at a huge picture of Fenway Park hanging above my desk. To the right the infamous picture of Carlton Fisk waving his homerun right hangs over my closet. Dangling from a hanger on my closet is a retro New York Mets jersey signed by Mike Piazza that waits to be encased. Right next to my bed an oversized Red Sox logo sticks to the wall. The logo is almost bigger than the wall itself. A black and red “jet life hangs” over my head, probably the only thing that doesn’t have to do with sports in my room. My desk is littered with nickels, dimes, and pennies that I have tossed on it. There are clothes all over my desk; some folded others rolled up in balls that have been sitting there for days. The top of the desk is covered in filthy black hats with faded red CW logos...

...always slept in the living room, in front of the fireplace. The wall opposite of the fireplace was the kitchen, and dining room. Directly across the room from the fireplace, in the dining room, was the door to enter the garage, and in the garage was a room. The room in the garage was the hobby room, were we used to do crafts and make ceramics. When you entered the garage, straight ahead, you would see a screen door and the door into the hobby room. To the right was a door, that lead outside to the back yard, and once outside, to the left, was the gate to proceed to the front yard. All of us, including my grandparents, where gathered around the fireplace roasting marshmallow’s to make s’mores, and watching The Wizard of Oz. Around nine o’clock that evening was time for bed, Aja and I arranged thick mat’s on the floor, in front of the fireplace to form a large bed. We decided to stay up, after my grandparents went to bed to play some card games. After much debate, we decided to play a game of war in front of the roaring fire. Aja, won the first round, and I won the second round. We started playing gin rummy next; it was pretty fun and lasted quite some time. It was getting pretty late, and by now it was ten thirty. I threw some more wood on the fire, and hopped under the covers. Our heads where near the fireplace, and our feet pointed towards the door that leads into the garage. After lying down for a few minutes the door to the hobby room started to squeak, then the...

...the stars were very long and tall like a castle’s stars. The kitchen was in the back of my house and it was huge. On the right side of the room there was a built in dinner table and it was super big! And the kitchen had granite counter tops. The fridge was huge with many sweets and treats. The room that connected the hallway and the kitchen was the piano room. In that room was a huge piano! The room on the left of the piano room was the library, the library was huge it had bookshelf after bookshelf. That wasn't the best part, the family room was amazing! The family room had a huge fire place with a huge tv on top of it. When I walked up stairs to go see my new room, it felt like an eternity passed by before I made it upstairs I was so nervous! ...Exhibition Hall is divided into eight galleries and three drawing wall. Each shows the different approaches Chihuly used to express his approach to glass art. The first room you enter is the Glass Forest. It is a installation which was originally done in 1971. These are large stalks of glass that are charged with neon. Of all the sections in the museum I liked this least. The colors were less vibrant and had a feel of South Beach hotel neon, almost pink flamingo like. However the display showed a point in the artist’s evolutionary process. The next main section was the Northwest Room. It is here we start to see the forms and shapes that we are familiar with. The colors of these pieces are very subdued, having northwest earth tones. It is the shapes of the pieces that are intriguing. 1 Northwest Room The next area is the Sealife Room. The glass takes the shapes and colors of the ocean. The artist takes you to the sea with his interpretation of starfish, rays, urchins and such. Upon exit of the Sealife area you enter the Persian Ceiling and are hit with intense colors. In this installation the vibrant colorful forms are suspended above a clear glass ceiling. Having to look upward at the art gives a different view of the work allowing you to look through it, not at it. 2 Persian Ceiling The next section of the museum is the Mille Fiori or “a...
