In the room, an ambience sound is like from the universe. The next shot is an extreme close-up of David. Some colorful reflections of light fall on his face. David’s head shakes. His face is reddish with a tense expression. This shot has a warm tone. By contrast, the following shot has a cooler tone. It is a view of the bedroom with the dock station in it. Before noticing any smell, decoration or furniture it is likely that you will be welcomed by my one year old pug. The first room where I spend most of my time, the living room and kitchen, is rectangular with sand colored tile and four white walls all naked except for a glass clock with black dots marking each hour. Still standing in the door, trying to zone out my pug which loves attention, you will see an ivory-white legged dining table with a jet-black glass top converted to my working desk and next to it a white stuffed chair with black legs. In the middle of the room is a black, leather clad sofa with an adjustable back. Although it looks flat and uncomfortable, sitting down you will feel it is soft enough to sleep on. ...My Room As I sleepily stumble into my house at midnight there is only one place I want to be: my room. As I walk in I try to avoid the clothes thrown all over like landmines in a battlefield. ...Exhibition Hall is divided into eight galleries and three drawing wall. Each shows the different approaches Chihuly used to express his approach to glass art. The first room you enter is the Glass Forest. It is a installation which was originally done in 1971. These are large stalks of glass that are charged with neon. Of all the sections in the museum I liked this least. The colors were less vibrant and had a feel of South Beach hotel neon, almost pink flamingo like. However the display showed a point in the artist’s evolutionary process. The next main section was the Northwest Room. It is here we start to see the forms and shapes that we are familiar with. The colors of these pieces are very subdued, having northwest earth tones. It is the shapes of the pieces that are intriguing. 1 Northwest Room The next area is the Sealife Room. The glass takes the shapes and colors of the ocean. The artist takes you to the sea with his interpretation of starfish, rays, urchins and such. Upon exit of the Sealife area you enter the Persian Ceiling and are hit with intense colors. In this installation the vibrant colorful forms are suspended above a clear glass ceiling.
