Essay About Concept Art

...Stylized character concept art is an integral part of making video games and animated feature films that contain 3D forms. This may include characters and assets for the ambient in animated films or video games. They give the modeling team ideas on how it is supposed to look, and it provides them with ideas on realizing the drawing into the tree-dimensional environment. Many animation and game studio have their own concept artists. One of our favorite games that we loved playing growing up were, at the beginning were mere rough sketches but later on they were processed as illustrated concepts and later on realized in 3D form. My main interest will be providing more practical knowledge, so that is why I want to apply for a Bachelor of Arts degree. I think of that for several reasons. For one, I consider designing stylized characters is important part of my life. Each art design I make has a deep connection with my personality. I feel that each character design has its own story to tell. However, the competition is so intense that it gets quite overwhelming and sometimes depressing. There is massive stampede of talented people out there who have big aspiration at popular companies such as Dreamworks and Pixar. Nonetheless, there are people who produce high quality drawings and work for a low budget in smaller companies around the world. Concept art has taken off as a field of its own. Brainwashed and Not Understanding

...Brainwashed and Not Understanding Gustavis Martin Liberty U APA Everyday our children are becoming more and more exposed to negativity as a result of the media and electronic devices. Most parents do not realize the danger our kids are placed in from this mass exposure. In today’s society our children can be brainwashed excessive time listening to certain music on the radio, watching certain television programs and playing some types of video games and other social media outlets by wanting to emulate what they see, read and hear. Much of this is leading to hazards to their mental and physical health. It is really an epidemic which can only be stopped by parents and other responsible adults gaining an understanding of the technology and devices our kids use, and learning what should be censored. [pic] So much of the music on the radio contains large amounts of cursing, with the lyrics requiring to be beeped out. This situation is worsened with our kids listening to these same songs on their iPods, mp3’s, Zune, etc. A majority, if not all, of the music on the devices will have cursing, derogatory sayings, and violent references that parents and other adults would not want their children to hear on a regular basis, but continue to let them do so mostly because of a lack of knowledge about how to use this technology. Though rap is not the only genre of music which frequently includes these concerns, it is a prime example. It is stated...

Basta alguns minutos do tema...

Hip Hop

...cross culturally people find hip hop as the excuse. Hip hop seems to be seen as the most impactful and widely endorsed. While the other forms of media seem to be overlooked or not as important. There are “action movies” that always seem to include some amazingly cool shootout where a hero emerges from the smokes. There are the constant military commercials encouraging youth to “fight” for their country. The also popular blame is video games. A couple of the most popular video games include Grand Theft Auto (GTA) and Call of Duty (COD). In order to beat GTA you must successfully commit crimes and get away with them while COD wants you to get the most kills (especially when playing live). During a hip hop debate that aired on BET in 2012 Michael Eric Dyson opens up with a statement on hip hop stating “Does hip hop degrade society? People say that because it leads to crime. Did you know crime has declined dramatically in the last 20 years? Murders are down… There is no one to one correlation between a hip hop lyric and a subsequent material condition that leads to criminality.” But even without there being a direct correlation between the two, societies still...

With the disappointing loss of the votes another referendum was promised. National Energy Program (NEP) is Established Pg 401 In 1980 the Federal government took further steps to ensure Canadian control of energy supplies. Thus the National Energy Program is introduced. Their goal was to establish 50% Canadian ownership of the Canadian oil and gas industry, to make Canada self sufficient in energy by 1990 and to control oil prices. American oil companies were provoked with Canada's progress which lead American companies to pull many of their drilling rigs out of Canada leaving many unemployed, mainly in the western region. Vidding

...footage from visual sources such as television shows, music videos, movies, or even video games and uses it to create another video. There is a lot of controversy when it comes to vidding. According to copyright laws, the clips of footage being used belong to the original artist(s) and owners from those television shows, music videos, and movies. Those that feel vidding isn’t breaking any copyright laws say that they are just using small clips with no intentions of making money or selling the final video in which the clips are in. White there is a thin line; I believe that creating videos and uploading them to the internet using vidding is not an ethical expression of free speech. Vidding is a violation of copyright laws because an artist’s property is being taken without permission, whether you take one second of footage, or one hour, it is still an infringement. It seems asinine that people would need such an explanation of copyright and fair use laws, but the law isn’t black and white. The law seems unclear on what is infringement or what is fair use, each case is different and there is no set amount of work that can be taken before it turns into infringement Fair use. (2012, June.) There are some that believe that if you just give credit and cite the original artist or owner, you aren’t committing a crime. Television shows and movies have used a trick in the past that lets the branding of a product lead the viewer to what the product is. If a movie character is...

Rapper “Nas” titled his eighth album in 2006 with this statement, and has caused a controversy among rap artists and listeners all over the world. But comparing today`s hip hop music with the roots of hip hop can we really claim that hip-hop is really dead? If so, what are the facts that lead in the death of hip hop? What does its demise mean for the average fan? How to bring it back? Does it mean the genre will go down in irrelevance like what happened in disco music? All these questions will be investigated during this paper, and to understand this complicate statement itself, we should figure out what the statement really means. Maybe it is the fact that most of the genre’s songs and music videos look exactly the same. Maybe it’s the mainstream hip-hop game’s emphasis in ridiculously shinning jewelry, the sexism and the focus on money and women. Better yet, according to Mickey Hess, “hip-hop’s...
