Since inception of its group operations more than 30 years ago, the company has invested in creating technology products and offering engineering services to its customers. Until recently, its focus was to position itself as a "technology services provider." IDC believes that in order to scale revenue and utilize its assets more productively, the strategy has changed since the past five to six years to include other IT services offering. As a result, engineering and R&D services now contribute to approximately 26% of HCL Technologies' total revenue. IDC has made the following observations: ! It is commendable to note that revenue for R&D/product engineering services has risen by 40%, while head count has risen only by approximately 24%. The relations and motion parameters are encoded as a time-varying interaction graph. Once the driver is indicated by the user, we compute the motion of the assembly and use it to generate an annotated illustration to depict how the assembly works. We also produce a corresponding causal chain sequence to help the viewer better mentally animate the motion. Abstract How things work visualizations use a variety of visual techniques to depict the operation of complex mechanical assemblies. We present an automated approach for generating such visualizations. Starting with a 3D CAD model of an assembly, we first infer the motions of individual parts and the interactions between parts based on their geometry and a few user specified constraints. We then use this information to generate visualizations that incorporate motion arrows, frame sequences and animation to convey the causal chain of motions and mechanical interactions between parts. Most times, torsion is found at almost all times in a vehicle, on each axle, the driveshaft, and many others parts in a vehicle. These members all need to withstand the angular moment or load that is acted on it. You do not want to step on the gas, and your driveshaft or axles snapping. You wouldn’t be going anywhere anytime soon. The torsion test primarily measures, at a certain moment or load, how much the bar or specimen is twisting and at what angle. This test can also be done in reverse order measuring the angle first, and recording the torque on the test material. The testing of a “torque-angle” graph can be somewhat similar to a “stress-strain” curve.
