The results were in. the doctor’s had concluded that he had a rare case of meningitis, and would need to stay in the hospital for a while before they could find a cure or treatment. In the mean time the staff did everything they could to break the fever, and once it was broken they realized something. My brother wasn’t making any sounds or noises even when they called his name. The social worker came into the room, and spoke to my mother regarding our experience at St.Christopher’s hospital.She was told to speak to a lawyer at once to take legal action for the safety of her child. My mom was grateful to the staff and she thanked them for saving my brothers life. The Er nurses and doctors explained to us that he would have died if he hadn’t come to the Er the time that he did. I have never dined at that particular location before, but heard from several people that it is a very lively on Friday’s. I figured TGIF on a Friday should be interesting. As I turned off of the main road I can see the huge TGIF sign reassuring me that I was heading in the right direction. The exterior of the building is really nice. Perfectly manicured lawn, shrubs, trees, and patches of yellow and purple flowers surrounds the brownish taupe structure. There are also several red and white stripped awnings all around the building, except the one by the main entrance, which is black with a red and white TGIF sign. I found a parking space not too far from the entrance. Above the entrance doors is a stripe that says “In Here, It’s Always Friday". I pulled open the F-shaped handles on the door and walked in. As soon as I entered TGIF I was greeted by an elderly woman who offered me a menu and asked how many people would be seated. I accepted the menu and told her that I would prefer to sit in the bar area, so she told me to pick any seat I desired. Most crimes were perpetrated in public settings by one or more strangers, but victimization also occurred in other locales, and perpetrators included neighbors, coworkers, and relatives. In deciding whether a crime was based on their sexual orientation, victims tended to rely primarily on contextual cues and perpetrators’ explicit statements. Victims’ concerns about police bias and public disclosure of their sexual orientation were important factors in deciding whether to report antigay crimes, as were beliefs about the crime’s severity and the likelihood that perpetrators would be punished. Reflection: The method used in this research study is the interview method. They collected a sample size of 450 willing volunteers (224 men: 204 gay, 20 bisexual and 226 women: 202 lesbian, 24 bisexual).
