Oftentimes, it is the areas of our lives that need improvement that need our full attention and the most investment. We are well aware of this yet do not really take the initiative to follow-up with what has to take place prior to getting the job done. College students, for instance often find it challenging to remain organized with the many other things they have to take care of, aside from school. Like this problem, many more lie with the solution ultimately being one thing, a process. A process containing consistency, effort, and time. Prioritizing includes any form of planning, to-do lists, and reminders. Purchasing a planner is highly effective to keep track of tasks. Having a planner allows you to record anything that must be taken care of, such as, homework, daily assignments due, what readings must be read before attending class, special dates, etc. Everything is kept in one place and tasks are made clear and visible. Another efficient thing that can be used in a planner is the use of color coding to differentiate each class. Creating a legend is also very helpful to create bullets, symbols, and boxes to fill in. The use of bullets can be used to set apart tasks, special dates and events, and notes made. Symbols can be used to determine the priority of papers and assignments, such as an explanation mark to know its deadline. The amount of explanation marks can range from 1-3 depending on its priority. As for the use of boxes, they can be helpful when looking back at what papers you have started on and which have already been completed. Additionally, the use of to-do lists and reminders makes tasks easier to see and manage daily. It allows you to see what must be done each day and to cross out or eliminate those that have already been
