I was able to improve my research writing through deliberate practice during the writing of my Rogerian argument, and my grit theory paper. Writing this paper challenged me to find reliable and credible sources. This is something I’ve always been pretty good at, but English 101 taught me what exactly makes a source reliable. Having an author who is credible in the topic adds to the reliability of the source. This means finding some one who may have a degree in that area or done research about it.
