Journal 1: There’s a part at the beginning of chapter fourth goes like this “don’t eat things you find, scout” “it wasn't on the ground it was on the tree.” says scout. Figurative language: figurative language can be found throughout the novel one being personification meaning like someone whose intent is to show a certain quality of something or someone. I feel like the author used this because sometime in his like he used personification to show someone's qualities of them as a person. Maycomb is suffering through the great depression. This book really caught my attention due to how the great depression was back then it really connected with the book. I would really recommend this book to those who are really into history because overall this was a really great book.
People: major characters
Scout Finch. scouts character is very unusual both her qualities and social personality, she sometimes is smart about things but unusually confident in herself. Things I notices about her was that she’s really compassionate and intelligent when it come to handling certain situations and she's also a tomboy.
Atticus Finch. He's really respected by everyone in Maycomb even the poor have so much respect for him. Atticus he is unique about things like he would treat his children like adults.
Jem Finch. Jem is a boy whose sister finds him a likable guy, he really wants to compare himself to his father and also wants to follow his dad's footsteps into law. Jem's character you can tell is very brave and curious. Like In the book it clearly states that in all his life Jem never declined a dare.
Boo Radley. Boo is kinda like the nonsociable character he never really goes out of his house he destroys Jem's, scouts and drills
