...to the end of the English 1100 course, I had a much better understanding of doing research essay, knowing the difference between high school writing and writing at the university level. I have gained the knowledge that I have a capability to do good paragraphing, how to begin with your research essay and mainly, that I can block the counterarguments. My greatest strength, I have learned, is being able to do a good paragraphing and transitions. You said to me in the beginning of the semester that “as you are an international student, this course will not be easy for you, but if you work hard, concentrate and read the essay properly you will surely pass the course.” I believe you were right and in the very first major paper I scored a C grade. As English is not my first language and this is my first course in Thompson Rivers University, I was satisfied with my result and I worked hard after that to get a better grade or at least trying to maintain my level. When I go through my essay on Patterson, which was my topic for the first major paper I lacked in arguable thesis, I have learned from my mistakes and I have tried to write a well-organized research paper. At the end of this semester I found this as my greatest strength in English 1100. Secondly, I have also learned how to begin with your research essay. In the very beginning of the semester I had many issues related to how to start with your essay. I had faced many difficulties in it. I also got remarked for this issue...

Instead, just double space as usual, indent a full ½ inch (use the tab key), and start typing. The introduction should receive no specific heading because readers assume that the first section functions as your paper’s introduction. If you use headings, follow the instructions below. NOTE THAT NOT ALL ASSIGNMENTS REQUIRE HEADINGS. Examine the CEO’s personal and organizational values. This text will be the beginning of the body of the essay. Even though this section has a new heading, make sure to connect this section to the previous one so readers can follow along with the ideas and research presented. The first sentence in each paragraph should transition from the previous paragraph and summarize the main point in the paragraph. Make sure each paragraph contains only one topic, and when you see yourself drifting to another idea, make sure you break into a new paragraph. Also, avoid long paragraphs (more than three-fourths of a page) to help hold readers’ attention—many shorter paragraphs are better than a few long ones. In short, think: new idea, new paragraph. Evaluate how the values of the CEO are likely to influence ethical behavior within the organization. Here is another Level 1 heading. Again, the topic sentence of this section should explain how this paragraph is related or a result of what you discussed in the...

...and get thousands upon thousands of results saving students countless hours of study time. What are the strengths and weaknesses? With access to more information how to do prove the validity and accuracy of the immense amount information? “Getting information off the Internet is like taking a drink from a fire hydrant.” Mitch Kapor, variation of a quote by Jerome Wiesner With the changes in society our lives have all become busier. Having the use of the Internet drastically cuts down the time needed to fully research a project. We now have the ability to sit down in the comfort of our own home and glean as much information we need from the World Wide Web. This allows more individuals to fully realize their dreams of continuing their education while still managing their families and jobs. We have the ability to review, side by side, information from multiple sources. This allows us to better understand what we are researching by seeing what each side involved has to say. We then can formulate our own opinion and unique view point with that information. The strengths of the Internet are limitless; it is how we choose to use the Internet that determines its overall worth. Due to the changes in society and the need for speed we are also tempted to cut corners where and when we can. This can also translate to utilizing the Internet to cut those corners while doing research...

...The Learning Experience The Learning Experience Throughout my life I experienced the greatest educational instructors, during my educational endeavors. There was one educational experience that I would never overlook. This experience was in my Behavioral Statistics course in college. This instructor asked the class, “What is a learning experience?” The instructor asked everyone in the class to write a brief summary of the definition. The important question is “What is a learning experience?” “The learning experience is a collection of classroom projects and activities carried out over an extended period of time that incorporate several important elements of learning. The emphasis of the learning experience is not on skills but, rather, on the content or content areas of the project” (education.com, 2013). Throughout my presentation, I will discuss a learning experience in which I was the student. This learning experience would discuss the methods of lesson planning, the content standards, and what goals were accomplished in this learning experience. The Behavioral Experience During my junior year of college, I enrolled in a Behavioral statistics course for my degree in Sociology. This course was extremely challenging for all students receiving this course. The instructor taught this course on a Doctorate level, and most of her student populations were only obtaining their bachelor’s degrees. I only enrolled in this course during summer session, because I wanted to devote...
