After the blizzard had passed, the snow continued to fall at a slow pace. It was mid December, the prime of the winter season. Heavy snow flakes collecting on the cars and the streets after the people worked for hours trying to shovel it out of the way. The roads they cleared, disappearing once again under the sheets of white. The snow was silvery, shimmering while the sun began to set. Marishka tightened the scarf around her neck as she walked. The cold, brisk air making her eyes water and she started sniffling. The weather she loved, but as of now she wished to be at home with a hot cup of coffee or tea.

Being late was fine, as long as she had a good excuse. Her therapist was getting tired of that, but she didn't feel like she needed it
