...Catalina Torres Perez Section A1 The Monk and The Riddle 1. What was surprising or different about this book relative to what you know about entrepreneurship? When we think about entrepreneurship books, the first thing that usually comes to our mind is a technical book with instructions on what to do and not do in order to become a successful entrepreneur. What I found fascinating about this book is that the author, instead of giving a list of “must do´s”, is able to connect with the reader trough story-telling and personal experiences, and arise key questions that every entrepreneur must answer before and during a business development in order to be successful. In other words, The monk and The Riddle is no about “how” but about “why” and the importance of passion and vision when it comes to be an entrepreneur. Even if the book does give some specifics techniques that any entrepreneur can use to increase its chances of success, the central themes of the book are existential and philosophical. 2. What did the book teach you about different approaches at entrepreneurship and at being an entrepreneur? One important message of the book is the explanation of VCs´ perspective towards business opportunities and entrepreneurship. VCs are driven for risky ideas that have the potential to become leaders, but most importantly, they invest in the team and in the team´s passion. The team needs to have a combination of soft and hard skills, in order to be able to successfully develop and...

...Chlamydia Symptoms and Cellular Mechanisms Name Institution Chlamydia Symptoms and Cellular Mechanisms Chlamydia has since a long time ago tormented mankind as the most ordinarily contracted STD. The disease is brought about by C. Trachnomatis, and the sequencing of the genome, the capacity to comprehend, diagnose, and battle the pathogen is significantly high. Chlamydia has an exceptionally novel life-cycle, rotating between an irresistible rudimentary body, and a duplicating, non-irresistible reticulate body. The bacterium affects its own particular endocytosis upon introduction to host cells. Immediately it arrives in a cell, the basic body sprouts as the consequence of contact with glycogen, and changes to a vegetative, reticulate structure. This structure separates every 2 to 3 hours through double splitting, and has a hatching time of around 7 to 21 days in its host (Hrastar-Kotešić & Hren-Vencelj, 1992). The bacterium is recognized as an incorporation in the cell because it lacks a cell wall. Consequently, the pathogen returns to its basic structure and is discharged by the cell through exocytosis after division. The disease has various symptoms in men and women with rate of infection of women to men being 7: 5. For instance, in women, the symptoms incorporate vaginal discharge, bothering of the pubic region, and inflammation amid pee, lower stomach pain, difficult intercourse, and bleeding from the vagina. Men's indications normally incorporate a reasonable...

Due to the threat of Chinese consumers to buy Chinese made milk powder, there is a strong demand of import milk powder in China. Thus, US made milk powder is a good product to be exported to China. ...Starbucks goes to Colombia Starbucks the biggest coffee shop in the United States decided to expand their business to Colombia. Starbucks goal is to open around 50 stores by 2019. This is bringing a lot of positive and negative feedback to the Company Starbucks and to the country Colombia. This is happening because Starbucks will be competing with the biggest company shop of coffee in Colombia. According to the article Starbucks to Invade Colombia, Home of Juan Valdez, the Iconic Coffee Man by John Otis, says “Starbucks’ decision comes at a low point for Colombia’s coffee industry. Growers are struggling to recover from massive flooding, diseased trees, diminished yields, cratering international prices and an overvalued Colombian peso that reduces the value of coffee exports.” So this might help the country economies. At the same time the competition might also have a high risk of failure to take their market to the biggest country of coffee because Colombians are not so happy with the decision of taking an American coffee to their country while they already have a great one. Also according to the article As Starbucks heads to Colombia, growers have grounds for regret says that 18,000 coffee farmers, declined the offer of Starbucks which according to the University in Miami might be a big mistake to the Colombia coffee farmers. The article also mentions the comments from the CEO of Juan Valdez, he says that he welcomes the company Starbucks to the country, he mentions that this...

...Lisa M. Fields 29 August 2013 Ed Nickles Marketing Strategy and Management Audi 8 Audi The company established by August Horch in Zwickau on July 16, 1909 could not again take its founder's name for reasons of fair trade. Horch found a new name for the company by translating his name, which means "hark!", "listen!", into Latin. So it was that the second company to have been set up by August Horch commenced operations under the name Audi Automobile werke GmbH, Zwickau, on April 25, 1910. The Audi emblem of the four rings denotes one of Germany's oldest automobile manufacturers. It symbolizes the merger in 1932 of four previously independent motor vehicle manufacturers: Audi, DKW, Horch and Wanderer. These companies are the foundation stones on which the present-day AUDI AG is built. The Audi 8 is a vehicle whose dynamic potential and trendsetting technology pave the way for an automotive experience that sets a new benchmark even in this competitive field of superlative calibre. Powerful V8 engines, the new 6-speed tiptronic and the low weight of the aluminum body result in superior road performance. The new Audi A8 has air suspension with aluminum running-gear components as standard, for an optimum configuration in every driving situation: by means of the continuously variable damper settings the adaptive air suspension reduces body movements, while optimizing road holding and ride comfort. Together with quattro permanent four-wheel drive, the A8 thus offers dynamic...

...LIST OF NONCONFORMING MOTOR VEHICLES THAT ARE ELIGIBLE FOR IMPORTATION (BY OR THROUGH A REGISTERED IMPORTER) as of October 1, 2011 Under 49 U.S.C. § 30112(a), a person may not permanently import into the United States a motor vehicle manufactured after the date that an applicable Federal motor vehicle safety standard (FMVSS) takes effect unless the vehicle complies with the standard and is so certified by its original manufacturer. This prohibition applies to both new and used motor vehicles, but does not apply to motor vehicles that are at least 25 years old (based on the date that the vehicle was manufactured). Under one of the exceptions to this prohibition, found in 49 U.S.C. § 30141, a motor vehicle that was not originally manufactured to comply with all applicable FMVSS can be lawfully imported into the United States, provided it is determined eligible for importation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and is imported by a registered importer, or by a person who has a contract with a registered importer to bring the vehicle into compliance with all applicable FMVSS following importation. Import eligibility decisions can be made either on the initiative of the Administrator of NHTSA or on the petition of a manufacturer or registered importer. One basis for determining a motor vehicle eligible for importation is that it 1) is substantially similar to a motor vehicle of the same model year that was manufactured for sale in the United States and certified...
