My experiences in reading and writing have always been highly appreciated by my peers. I never believed reading and writing could become something so highly thought of in the future from the first steps of learning in preschool. In ninth grade, my reading and writing capabilities matched twelfth graders on my school entry level exams. I’ve never been told what my level of reading and writing skills were after finishing twelfth grade. My experiences in English 101 have told me the better of what my capabilities are. I’ve seen my skills develop with analyzation and multi-complex discussion through the use of group discussion and developing a conversation with authors. I believe my reading and writing has improved over the course of English 101 from practicing reading responses, participating in small group …show more content…
They Say, I Say provided a list of topics by individual authors that I could read and respond to the conversation on my own in the reading response assignments. The objective of the reading responses was to promote my point of view in the conversation brought forth by individual authors. I scored particularly high on all of my reading response scores. In previous reading assignments from high school, I never responded their topics as a conversation. Analyzing the topics provided by authors only required providing evidence and explaining the evidence provided to the topic. By responding to topics in a conversation provided an extra layer of analyzation and discussion which therefore improved my understanding how to analyze topics. I could then bring my analyzation to the table in small group discussions. While my group partners may have been struggling with any particular topic, my enhanced analyzation of the topic provided a stronger view of our conversations which in return, would improve my own

...Course Reflection Upon reflection, I attach honesty and thoughtfulness to this part as I seek to gain my Degree in Hospital Medical Reimbursement and Coding. As I reread my words, I recalled the much anticipation and interest I had for studying this course. Presently in the U.S. the controversy lies between society, where a fine line that divides and correlates education and social class.
